Jugnu had a spring her step as she was walking about the old pride lands, and soon hopefully it would be the new pride lands once again. She was feeling more like her old self and was ready to get the ball rolling. Get this place back into shape and hunt down the members that once fled.

Currently she was working on clearing some stray branches that littered the area the dens use to be in. The more they cleared away the better. Jugnu was a hard worked and she was excited to have purpose again. Her home was slowly but surely becoming a home again.

Joto had woken early that morning and had set to work locating where the pridal altars were. The snow and ice had caked much of everything, so locating where things had once been was more than a formidable task. It took him most of that morning to finally find them, and he was not pleased with his discovery of them being frozen solid. Within the recesses of their icy tomb was the remnants of their pride's planted flowers symbolizing their unity to the gods and the pride itself. Needless to say this caused him more frustration than he felt like dealing with and he abandoned his task to find Jugnu once more.

Following the lionesses scent upon the patches of forest floor and snow, he followed her back towards where the dens were located and cleared his throat to signal of his presence. He did not want her to think he was a foreigner and scare her, after all. Nor did he want to accidentally be attacked by the white and green lioness.

"I have unfortunate news," Joto said, waiting for Jugnu to direct his attention to her. "Our pridal altars are encased in thick sheets of ice and snow. Right now they are unreachable."

Jugnu turned when she heard the male clear is throat. She smiled at the male. Though that smile rapidly turned to a frown when she heard that their alters were in cased in ice. That would not do.

"Can you see through the ice?" she asked, it wasn't ideal but maybe the casing around the alters wasn't so bad if you could still see the alters.

"We could wait till a warmer day and then scratch away at it." there was no point in scratching away the ice while it was still so could but maybe on a warm day.

"It would be helpful if we had more members here, many paws make light work." Jugnu hadn't talking to the male about finding more of their members yet she wondered if perhaps he had a plan.

"I fear that it would take many warm days before we could get through the thickness of this ice," Joto explained, "While I can see through it, it is still many layers deep. If we had more paws, we could possibly chip away at it, but it would still take time."

Joto scrunched his nose a bit before rubbing at it with a paw as he thought. His ideas were clouded as of late with his anger at those who had abandoned the pride and his general time spent with Jugnu. He hadn't even thought about what to do about looking for members, which was his own failure as a member of the council.

"I suppose the altar is something than can and must wait till we have found more of our kin. Have you seen or smelled any unfamiliarity nearby lately, Jugnu? We could go searching through the lands once the dens have been cleared out. Survey as much of the damage as we can as we go, upon other things," He questioned, dragging a paw through his split colored mane.

Jugnu nodded as Joto talked about the alter, yes it made sense to wait till more paws were around to help. Though it did made her said that their alters had been compromised by the ice.

"No I haven't smelled anyone around here recently." she said sadly. She had gone out daily looking for her kin when she was here alone and she hadn't smelled anyone, in fact she hadn't even smelled Joto until after she had found him in the pride lands.

"Do you think it would be worth us going out and looking for others?" she asked. She herself wasn't sure where the others might have gone, but she liked to believe that everyone would have stuck close to the pride, after all this was where they were closest to the gods.

Joto thought for a moment on Jugnu's question. It was definitely a good one. Should they bother to wander outside of the pride borders to look for others and risk losing their scent markers in the pride indicating there are others here, or do they stay within the pride barriers and hope someone comes meandering back. He rested on his haunches for a moment to think this over carefully.

On one hand, it would be much easier for them to go outside the pride to look to instead of waiting; however, there was the risk of someone passing by and not seeing them here and assuming they have moved on. Tapping his tail against the snow for a few moments with a series of dull thuds, he finally looked back up to the green and white lioness with a small plan formulated in his head.

"Well, we certainly can't be gone every day to look for people outside the pride. We risk missing them inside the pride. But why don't we go out for half day periods every other day to scout for others and see who is lurking?" He suggested, scratching beneath the thick tuft of his mane by his chin, "That way we've got time to look for others, but we're not gone constantly. They'll pick up our scents beyond the borders and follow it further in."

Jugnu thought about Joto was saying, it made sense that they wouldn't want to be venturing out too far or for too long. If one of their members came back and they saw no one here they may move on. Jugnu shook her head it made her angry that more members weren't here already and they should have been more loyal, like her.

While Joto suggested his way of them searching an idea came to her, "We could take turns going out." Jugnu didn't relish the idea of going out on her own, or even staying here without Joto she had been alone for so long already she didn't want to go through it again, bit for the sake of the pride she would.

"If one of us goes, and the other stays we cover both bases. We could take turns going out." Jugnu turned towards Joto to see what he thought of the idea.

"Is that what you really want?" Joto asked Jugnu in regards to her plan.

He knew it wasn't a bad plan and it would have been one he would have suggested, but he figured that she had spent so much of her time already alone that the last thing she would want is for them to split up even if it were for a day. You could say he was being courteous at this moment in time, and possibly a little selfish since he really did not want to be apart from her at the moment either. He'd just found her, and they were alone spending time together.

"We can do that if you really wish, Jugnu. It would make things easier on both ends," He reiterated, waiting for her response.

Jugnu smiled she could tell that Joto was being very caring towards her, and that he didn't want to leave her anymore than she wanted to leave him. But their duty had to be to the pride first and themselves second.

"I think that is the best way to do things, just until we get a member or two back here and than we can leave them here and we will go out together." she smiled, she loved working with Joto and she could feel there bond growing to become even more. They hadn't officially said anything about their relationship but she felt it was clear between the two of them that they were mates now. They had each others back.

"Then that's how we will do it for now," Joto replied.

He hoped that they would run into someone soon. Not because he wanted the company, mind you, he was perfectly happy with the company he had, but the more people who could help search and clean the faster things would get done and ground could be covered. And at this point that was the most important thing they could do; cover more ground.

"We can start that tomorrow, then," Joto commented, scratching at his mane for a moment, "For right now let's go find us food. I am hungry, and you've worked so hard you deserve to rest."

Jugnu nodded, she liked their plan. It would work and soon enough they would have a thriving pride. She smiled she could see it all happening, she could envision all that was to be it would be beautiful.

"Sounds good to me. I will go rustle us up some food." she told Joto before giving him a quick nuzzle. She trudged off into the forest to find something to eat, she knew there would be a number of hares in the forest. She would get them something good to eat and then bring it back for Joto.

The green and white lioness couldn't be happier with how things were going.
