The sound of ancient battles were not so strange within Amrita's dreams, but these one's were muted and modern. She becomes aware within a metallic box that comes into focus as an elevator. Merlin stands beside her, one gloved hand touching her arm until he glances into her eyes and withdraws with a smile. One her other side is a familiar figure. Near skeletal and flinching away at her look, trying to take up the smallest space possible was Taym, or something very like him. Across from her is simply a reflection, but it is not her own.

"The trip over takes skill and experience which you will achieve over time, but for now you'll have to ride your chevalier noir to reach this place." The reflection was of a pale and petite human girl with brilliant blue eyes and long black waves of hair. Instinctively, she would recognize her the small knight who'd guarded her in the Tower. "Vivienne is well trained and will not try to wrest control for her body."

She was dreaming, she knew that much. She remembered falling asleep, which was becoming a strange habit for her.

The first thing she became aware of was that someone was touching her arm.

Touch was a sense that she had been shying away from more and more as she withdrew into herself, and so the slight pressure of a gloved hand was enough to not only bring her into consciousness, but to bring the situation into sharp focus. She blinked a moment, clearing the imagined sleep from her eyes, and began to focus on the strange new surroundings, which were rather different from what she was used to...and yet, she felt a strange, blanketing comfort. Like all of this was somehow normal, or expected, and covered up any hesitations or panicked thoughts she was certain she should be feeling.

The tall man at her side received a stare, and in her waking confusion she returned the smile he gave to her, before she looked away, towards the suspiciously familiar figure on her other side, who seemed more than nervous. She had a feeling that if this space was bigger, he would make a point to make use of it to create distance. It took her a moment to place the familiar face, but when she did, a slow and rather wicked smile formed on her lips. Taym. She remembered him: the nearly Undead Hunter. Having him in such a flinching panic was not only understandable, but definitely approved of. When she stared forward, she caught sight of their reflections again, and was noticeably confused. Merlin and Taym were there and where they should be, but the one in the middle...that...wasn't her...was it?

"...Oh." Merlin's explanation clicked into place why she felt strange, and was readily accepted as truth. Now that he had mentioned it, she did recognize her own reflection, and she offered a small smile towards it, with lips that were not her own. "That's very helpful of her." Taking over bodies was a nasty business, and worse when the victims fought back. But this body was comfortable it could have been her own.

"Where are we going?" It seemed like an important question to ask, even if it was belated.

The elevator stops at an unmarked level, and opens to a controlled chaos of human bodies surging and jumping and yelling. Merlin took her elbow in one gloved hand and began leading Amrita through the crowds, Taym trailing nervously after. It was thickest around a large pit; passing by, she'd catch glimpses of two bodies attacking one another. One looked human, the other decidedly not.

"Normally I keep a personal box for this sort of event, but you're new enough that physical contact is necessary for this." Glancing down at her, he smiled reassuringly. "You need to start recruiting, and you'll find that in one area, humans are much more skilled than we could ever hope to be."

Despite the human appearance of bluntness, his grin seemed full of hidden edges and points, a gleaming trap of a maw. "Killing other humans."

Amrita stared into the crowd, almost instantly aware that these people were not her own. She was surrounded by Humans. They were in the Human World? They had to be. Her gaze swept over the crowd, through the chaos to the heart of it, which surrounded a pit and a pair of fighters. As she watched on and walked through the crowd with the hand on her elbow, she felt a shift in her calm. It was slight, but it was there. Distress began to nudge further in, and the underlying concern over the situation began to grow just a little more known.

There were humans here. Hadn't she once promised to never step foot in the Human World?

Amrita had always been a creature of her word, yet here she was, surrounded by excited human bodies. She had to be in the human world. There was nowhere else she could be -

She sucked in a breath, one that started unstable with the promise of panic, but he was speaking to her again in that calm, reassuring voice of his. Instead, she held the breath she didn't need and turned to look at him, her expression shaky and uncomfortable at first. She struggled internally, torn between the rise of distress and the sense of kin and calm he gave her, before her expression softened slowly, and she even offered a tiny smile of her own.

"Really?" She uttered, mildly confused. "Why, though?" They had plenty preying on them, why add to it? She saw no point in preying on your own people, but then again, she had always been on the naive side. Either way, she shook her head slowly, ignoring the unease that still remained at the fringes of her mind. It didn't matter, she supposed. As long as there were enough left for the rest of them to live off of. She surveyed the room of surging, yelling bodies, only giving a brief glance to the non-human in the room.

"Tell me what to do." She said at length, looking back up towards the tall man at her side.
