The orange male was lounging in the sun. He was a lazy bum who didn't really do much other than lay in the sun. He should be out hunting, or finding a home or doing something productive that frankly would bore Banji to tears.

Sighing he rolled from his back over on to his stomach, he was beginning to get thirsty and knew that soon he would have to go and get something to drink, but the short walk to the watering hole in the area seemed like one that was entirely too long. Letting out a huff he decided that he could wait just a little longer before he made the trek.

Sneaking through the grass, Mahina was slowly stalking a gazelle that had strayed just a bit too far from its herd. As her mother was entirely nocturnal these days, it was up to Mahina to provide food for the two of them. Their other companion, Vayu, was a fairly self-sufficient snake, but he could never catch enough for the two larger felines.

Her paws moving slowly, Mahina had to be extra careful in order to not let the gazelle notice her bright white pelt; her entire family had to be cautious due to their furs. She probably had better luck with her white, though, opposed to her mostly blue family.

She stopped for a moment, watching it as it brought its head and ears up, swiveling around searching for her. If she wanted it, it was now or never. Building her energy, she bounded towards it, using her long and heavy tail to curve and follow the gazelle's darting movements. On one specific curve, however, she felt her paw slip on a rock, sending the young female rolling hard to the ground. She remained largely uninjured luckily, aside from some scrapes, but it definitely hurt her pride as a cheetah more.

Banji wouldn't have seen the other cheetah if it wasn't for the fall she took. He found himself rising to his feet rather quickly. Concerned that perhaps the other cheetah had been injured. He noticed the gazelle she must have been hunting take off at a quick speed.

Banji rushed over to the female. "Are you alright?" he asked. He was nearly winded from the movement. Despite being a cheetah Banji rarely and more often not never ran, apparently the thought of another being injured was all it took to get him moving.

Huffing a little he looked her over, she didn't seem to be in bad shape at all. He plopped his butt down on the grass trying to catch his breath.
