Personality: anger baby
The one thing Taye possesses in spades is pride. Pride in himself, in what he can be. As a result, he comes off (and is) exceedingly arrogant. A true 'prince' of the sea, he becomes angry and tends toward violence when creeple do not respect what he views at his authority. There's a sadistic pleasure he takes in teaching others a lesson.

And part of his arrogance is rooted in a beautiful self-confidence. Of course creeple want to be his friend and his subjects friends are treated exceptionally well and given gifts and clung to. Friends or not, Taye enjoys being uncomfortably close to others, pressing deliberately into their personal space. The way it unnerves some gives him power over them - he likes to think, at least.

Despite this crusty exterior, Taye is still only a kid, after all. He's soft inside - he cries at sappy movies and can't handle horror flicks. He also sleeps with a stuffed octopus nearly as large as he. And, should the occasion arise, he's not above crawling atop a minion and shrieking for them to KILL THAT BUG.


Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Taye is beyond tired of living in the shadow of his (extraordinarily distant, and it really was marriage of convenience of sorts on his aunt's side) cousin, The Kraken. Yes, the one most feared by sailors of all - ship wrecker of the high seas. He's here to show that he can be just as great! Greater, even - while trying to deny that he's related at all. Taye won't be satisfied until he's the best, not just Prince of the seas, but KING.
