User ImageNabila was so excited to say the least. Her and her mother had just traveled to a new home. Finally! It was only recently that she and her mother met up with each other again and decided to pursue their goal of finding a new pride to live in. When Nabila found her mother, Busara told her of a pride ruled by lionesses that would welcome them.

While living in the rogue lands, she and her mother had split apart for a while. Nabila had had a sudden impulse of independence and wanderlust and had asked her mother if it was alright with her if she traveled on her own for a while. While her mother had been sad about her daughter's revelation, Busara had still encouraged her to find her own path in life and fulfill her own destiny.

Nabila was grateful to her mother for the time that she got to spend on her own. It had been scary at times, but she had pulled through and had some fun adventures while she was at it.

User ImageTo say the least, Naledi's dreams had come true. She had been apart of the original group of lionesses held in captivity when their Queen have found them. That life had been something of nightmares. Having blocked out much of what had happened, she could only really remember being locked away in darkness and pain.

Naledi had been born in the rogue lands to parents that loved her, but that had been short lived. She had not been a tiny baby, but she had not been even close to reaching adolescence when she'd been taken. The males that her and her family had been unfortunate enough to run across in the great expanse of the rogue lands had killed her parents without thought or remorse to gain access to her fragile self.

They took her to their lair. They beat her. They broke her. They brainwashed her to serve them. Naledi spent the rest of her childhood that way. She spent her adolescence and young adulthood that way.

She had existed in a state suspended somewhere between shock and horror, and even though she had no realistic expectations of living a free life ever again, she had spent every night dreaming of running free and living the way that she had been born to, and now she was.

While she had been on her own in the rogue lands, Nabila had met many different lions and other felines, and even some canines. All her life up until that point, she had been glued to her mother's side.

This was partly due to her instinct to be near her mother, but Busara had always been a doting, if not a little over protective, mother while she and her siblings had been young. None of them had ever managed to get too far away from their mother unless they were being watched by another lioness.

Nabila knew that the splitting apart of her siblings had greatly wounded her mother, and she always had a flash of a wistful look upon her face. So, after her journeys into the vast lands of the savannah, Nabila promised herself that she would always look after her mother for all of her siblings.

Still lost in the memories of her past, Naledi couldn't help but to feel eternally grateful to her new Queen, Anansi. If it had not been for her bravery, she would have surely spent the rest of her life in that terrible place and surely would have died a slow agonizing death.

At the time, she had almost looked forward to it, it had seemed as though death was her only escape from the overbearing dominance of her keepers. Since being freed, she was rediscovering her true self, and she was learning once more that she was a badass. That she was strong, and now she was unstoppable.

Never again would she be subjected to suffering at the hands of another.

Nabila began to walk about the rainforest floor in retrospect. She put on a tough face, but she missed her siblings just as much as her mother did.

In fact, sometimes she even missed the time when she was little and only had to run behind her mother's legs to feel safe and protected. Now it was her job to protect her mother, and she would make sure that her mother lived a happy life.

Nabila eventually came upon a lioness standing between several trees. She didn't really know anyone in this land, so Nabila figured that she should introduce herself since she and her mother would be living here.

Naledi stretched out her large paws and yawned with her mouth open wide. She thought that she should stretch her body and train a little with she was out on her own. She steadied her breathing and focused her mind.

She rid herself of the bad memories for the time being and began practicing her fighting maneuvers. Naledi only wished that she had discovered this inner strength, her true strength, sooner than she had.

Then again, if she hadn't had Anansi and the other lionesses backing her, she would have most likely been killed instantly for her defiance. It didn't matter, everything had come together as it was intended.

Naledi believed that all things happened the way they were supposed to, and that goodness and honor would prevail above all corruption.

Nabila slowly approached the lioness and spoke boldly, "Um, hi! I'm Nabila, and my mother and I just came to live here not too long ago."

She hoped that she wasn't intruding.

Naledi had heard the other's footsteps as she drew near, but she chose to wait until she was addressed directly to pause her movements. Turning toward the younger lioness, Naledi gave her a wide smile that didn't come anywhere close to her eyes.

"Hello Nabila, welcome to our home, It's always good to see new faces around here."

Nabila felt relieved when the other lioness spoke kindly to her. She wasn't sure was sort of impression she was making, but she wanted it to be a good one.

"Thank you! I appreciate everyone accepting us. I know that it can be difficult to get used to strangers."

"Oh, don't worry, you'd have to be a pretty horrible person to make a bad impression on everyone here. It should be easy for you to get to know everyone. We like to think of ourselves as a big family, and now you're a part of it."
