A Frosty Scarefari Adventure! (Camilla, Carlos, And Keen)

The new cat... nest? Was greatly appreciated! It helped to hold in the warmth quite nicely which was starting to do the trick! Slowly another tiny paw would twitch then another as the Dormouse ghoul dreamed of being chased by a giant bird... However despite the twitching, the warmth, plus the cat nest and ferret scarf she was still awfully cold... And the cold weather that was blowing in wasn't helping either...

Feeling the dipping temperatures she instinctively curls tighter into a ball before letting out a tiny unhappy mumble as she dove deeper into dream land despite it's unpleasantness... Least she was warm in her dream!

Carlos's ears pricked as he hear a mumble. "Alive!" he yelled and shoved his face down into Camilla noes sniffing as he listened. There as mumbling and breathing and this little quiet slow beating. "Alive!" his tail wiggled and swished a moment letting in a cold draft before he realized it and put it back.


"Camilla wake up! Play with me." he nuzzled into her, staring and pawed a bit. "No sleep." Carlos had not yet made the connection that his friend was suffering from the cold and not just playing dead.

And he was not at all bothered by the winds.

Well at least Carlos knew she wasn't dead now! Still... the ghostly nose shoved against her and the resulting cold draft from his excited tail swishing did not make Camilla a happy Dormouse Monster... She subconsciously mumbles a bit louder in protest before curling up as tightly as she could! Sorry Carlos! This is no place for a young teenage Dormouse to play!

Her discomfort only got worse as Keen makes a good decision! The loss of her warm ferret scarf was one thing but then to be pulled out from her cat nest and then tied onto Carlos's back was another! A deep shiver runs through her as the full brunt of the cold hits her! Quickly what little twitching and mumbling she had been doing ceases as her body temperature begins to drop again... Her dream shifted too... Now she was having a nightmare of being trapped in the snow all alone... Thankfully it only semi reflected her current situation!

Carlos did not follow the ferret, he was too busy looking down at his dormouse bundle who was now tied up into him. Was he a chariot? This was not so good, she would fall.

Carlos put his pin back on and shifted to student form before putting the dormouse into his arms. He wanted to lift her by the back of the neck, but this was not a good position he felt. Not for someone half dead. Some small part of him still claimed she was not food and he has sense enough for that.

It was then that he started floating slowly following the ferret. "We need tea." he told the ferret. "Tea and Jam."

While Tea and Jam would have been wonderful in that moment a hot bath would have been nicer... Unfortunately she couldn't very well tell them that currently... Fortunately however! Carlos had the right idea by taking her off his back and cradling her in his arms! Even being pinched by the back of her neck wouldn't have bothered her much in that moment... Slowly her breathing picks up slightly as she was now shielded from the wind and thus not quite as cold...

She would have been concerned for Keen's snowy disappearance if she'd well seen it! The pare seemed to be working really hard to save her and Oh how she was so going to have to pay them back for this later! Not that Camilla protested such things... The act of being cradled made her warmer and that started to lessen the nightmare she currently was having...

Carlos had no idea that he was being ogled at any point. And being a young budding kitten, he wasn't yet able to understand such things. His life still consisted of thing such as tea cups and sliding rabbit holes. And hunting. and making friends with the occasional mouse, such as the one in his arms. Though he did not realize how dangerous a situation she was in or the fact that he was probably the only thing keeping her alive at the moment. He did pull her deeper into himself though, some instinct trying to keep her warm. Possibly a budding parental instinct. Or maybe just a kitten nesting instinct. Either way.

He did notice that his other companion was suddenly gone. "Mew?" he looked around unable to find her and then started calling out with small kitten squeaks. "Mew! Mew! Mew!" he was really too old for this kind of kittenish behavior but it was getting dark and cold and Camellia was still in dream land and he didn't want to be alone!

He sniffed the air trying to track down the smell of keen.

As Camilla was pulled closer to the Cheshire Cat boil she begins to shiver a bit as the nightmare starts to ease off... Carlos's ghostly form did little in the way of providing warmth, but it did shelter her from the cold which was almost equally as important!

She seemed to have slipped into a peaceful sleep with one of her paws twitching occationally. However, the boil's distressed mews over Keen's disappearance, soon pierced into her sub conscious and had the Dormouse ghoul mumbling unhappily as her dream shifted to her and Carlos being chased by a angry snow creature!

Despite her ghostly wind breaker it was still really cold... By this point, she had fluffed as much of her somewhat short fur up as possible to conserve warmth! Because of this, she looked like some odd clothes wearing mouse shaped puffball...

Carlos's ears perked. He heard something. A soft chattering. His ears perked and he carried Camilla along and found a hole.

His noes twitched and he launched himself in. He was so tired, he didn't want to move anymore. He was a bit too big for the hole but he opened it up and crawled in. It was dark he was tired and he just didn't want to move anymore. Carlos picked a nice place to curl up in the dark.

"Warm cave in the snow. What better way to spend the night?" he spotted the ferret and just curled up on top of her. He was done. just done. So tired. He would wait till daylight.

The small cave among the tunnels was surprisingly warm! With no icy wind to sap her warmth, Camilla started to warm up a fair bit! Slowly a foot twitches, then a small mumble, before finally her breathing evens out! She was truely asleep now rather then just trapped in a odd cold induced sleep state...

She grew even warmer, when she became sandwiched between the ghost cat and ferret! While the Dormouse ghoul laid curled up in a ball in Carlos's hands, happily sawing logs... Her nightmare ended once she warmed up enough, and now she was dreaming of tea and cake...

Come morning, Camilla was still really cold... Because both her friends were ghosts, they could only hold in what little warmth she was creating... Still... She was alive! She hadn't dissipated due to freezing thanks to their efforts!

Slowly, ever so slowly her eyes open... It was dark and cold and she didn't know where she was... But she knew one thing... She had to find more warmth! Her mind was completely fogged up with drowsiness, and truthfully... she wasn't even half awake... Instincts take over as she slowly squirms her way out of the pile, only to instantly begin shivering! "C-cold!" she whines and pouts in a drowsy and somewhat high pitch squeak. She needed warmth, lots of warmth, and she needed it now!

Sleepily, she looks from one opening to the next with a dazed expression... Finally, she settles on a opening and begins to half sleepwalk over to it... Unfortunately... Instead of the entrance where they came in, she was headed for the depths of the tunnels! Her snoozing friends were forgotten in her instinctive bid for warmth as she heads deeper into the tunnels...

Carlos awoke feeling cold and empty. he was one litter-mate short! His ears swiveled around and his nose twitched. This way. He leaped up and off the ferret, not even saying a word to her as he stretched and shook himself before padding off to find Camilla.

"Camilla! time to go home." he called sniffing and tracking her. Her sleepy foot steps weren't that quiet.
