[PRP] Seeing the world (Lirona/Voli'Pie)

Lirona’s kept low to the ground as she traveled around in the mysterious land. She had left her home and family in hopes of finding out more about the world. Her fathers and brothers would miss her, which was clear. But she couldn’t stay locked away in the pride forever. Her aunt lived an adventurous life style. She traveled in and out of the pride whenever she wanted, bringing back stories of her many adventures.

Her aunt was one of the many inspirations for why she wanted to leave the pride. She knew that she could always go back home if she wanted, but there was so much for her to do outside the pride.

During her travels she had heard fellow travelers talk about the monsters and ghost in the area. She didn’t really believe in ghost or monsters, but she couldn’t help but be a little cautious. Even if there weren’t any monsters around, she knew that there were other things that could hurt her.

But that was one of the many risk she took adventuring into the unknown.

When Voli'Pie's pride had disbanded due to the disaster, it had been a blessing for her and she knew for her mother as well. She may have lost touch with some of her siblings, but Voli was pretty sure they were doing better now as well. Their old pride had been a pain in the rump for them. Voli never believed she had some demon living in her, but she had to pretend she did when she came of age. Thankfully with how things worked out, she could go around and act like any sane lioness and not talk about her "demon" that spoke to her. It was nice to be able to find oneself better adapted to the outside world than others of the pride because of her mother's oddity.

Voli padded along as silent as a ghost and watched for anything interesting in the area. The grey and blue lioness was not too far from where her old pride had been and had found that she was mistaken for some kind of monster or ghost. Her huge size and dark coloration, both favored by her former pride, paired with how quietly she could move seemed to bother most of the travelers she came across. It made it hard to meet others that might be nice company.

Voli decided to rest her paws a bit and hopped up on a rock about the same color as her main pelt. She stretched out a bit and decided against a nap just now. She really did not want to rest too long as she was going to try to get away from her pride's old home now and head on her way to adventure of her own. She really had stayed close far too long already and it was time to move onto better things for herself.

Lirona continued to stay close to the ground. Her limbs started to grow tired from the travel. When she looked around she saw a rock not too far off. She thought that if she jumped up on it she might be able to find a good hiding spot and rest for a little bit. As she approached the rock, she noticed the rock was kind of odd looking. Part of it looked like it had fur…

She stopped in her tracks. Could it be a rock monster, she wondered. No that wasn’t right, she thought. Monsters’ do not exist. “Hello?” She spoke quietly, her eyes never leaving the rock. She wondered if she should just run for it.

‘No, this is your adventure. You cannot just run from the first scary thing you find,’ she thought to herself. Lirona stood up tall to face the creature on the rock.
