They had managed to return at the time of the setting sun, raids finally done. Thralls, both new and those who had been brought along, were laden with their spoils of foods and pelts, though perhaps, they were the greatest treasures themselves. Inari was both glad and disappointed to be returning to these borders. She remembered when she had first come to this spot, a rogue looking for a more profitable life. And that is exactly what she had found- these last days were some of the most exhilarating of her life. She had been right all along, despite the waiting, it was worth it. She looked forward to decorating her den with pelts she did not need to knick from thralls nor barter for with other pridemembers. She worked for it, just in a different way.

She could have a thrall, she supposed… They had captured a few. The Captain already did not want the thrall that she and Dagny had captured- the lioness could not blame them. Their catch was cheery and chatty, despite what could happen to her. Inari constantly tried to remind the lioness of how horrible her future could be, but the bright orange thrall-to-be seemed determined to be chipper. Dagny seemed to be the only one of their group semi-immune to her annoying incessant chatter. In fact, only the warlord would need to turn up his nose at her and the thrall would be Dagny's, Inari figured. If that's what her daughter wanted, well… There was no helping that.

As they entered the pride's lands again, Dagny broke off to escort the thrall and try to make a case to keep her for herself. Inari knew they had pillaged many treasures, she would be patient to get her share this time. She was a freeborn not long ago, after all. She was sure she would only get what was leftover, and for this viking, she was ok with that. She knew she would go raiding many more times than just that, so she would be patient.

Her eyes turned instead to drink in the cheering joyful faces greeting them, pleased with herself.

((I'm just going to play Inari with him atm, I have a hard time playing two of my characters with someone else- only works well in SRPs. XDDDD))

He was located in the back of the hub of the crowd, less interested in the treasure that certainly some of the freeborn were here to try and grab but more so in the people.

Tollak happened to know one of the reavers in the last viking. He was proud of the guy, finally got his chance to go to the rogue lands and all! It made Tollak smile because he knew either the guy had realized reavering wasn't for him, and was ready to call it quits, or the gray lion had just gotten himself another sparring buddy. Either way, when he had heard wind that the last viking party was returning Tollak had padded his way over to the entrance to see them arrive. There was no way he was planning on missing this group's return.

As Tollak sat watching, noting his friend walk by holding himself proudly, he swore he saw a familiar face in the crowd. Actually, two familiar faces. Was that... Dagny? Dagny had gone with them?!

He then set his sights on Inari. Inari, his mom, she had gone too? That only meant one thing, they weren't coming along for a safe herb-collecting mission they were...

"Mother!" He called and fought his way through the crowd. "You're a reaver now! Congrats!"

I know the feeling. xD That's fine though, if you want after this rp's done he can go find Dagny and congratulate her.

Inari's head held high, her icy eyes quickly spotted a face that she did not expect, but that she had been planning on going to find right away- the brown mane and grey face of her better coordinated son, Tollak. While the lioness had planned on keeping herself looking hardened amongst the welcomers, she could not hold herself to such standards with her son. In fact, the whole trip back she had been wondering where she would find him- she had not gotten the chance to tell him she was off to finally live the dream before she left! Her recruitment had been a very last minute thing, Tollak was the one she wanted to greet the most.

She too pushed through the crowd, "Tollak!" She called as she reached him, a grin on her muzzle that she could not stop. "It's great, isn't it?" She said at his words. "You may have beat me to it, but now we're both where we should be. Look at them!" she said, turning her head and her attention to the freeborn who were jockeying for positions closer to the loot. "They look for these things, we're the ones who go take them now, both of us!" The pride in her voice was unmistakeable- she was extremely proud of herself and two of her cubs, and decently proud of her third. Proud enough, anyway, given the circumstances.

"My son, we should go on a raid together, now that we both can," she said, a mischievous grin on her muzzle. She would not admit to most that when her son achieved reaverdom before she had, she was a little jealous, though as proud as any mother could ever be. But she had always thought she would be afforded the opportunity first, to lead her cubs into it. The order, she supposed now, did not matter. What did matter was that they were both able to go viking now. She knew Tollak's style of fighting- they would make an impressive team if ever they did go in the same band. She liked to think she didn't cramp his style either.

Around anyone else Tollak might have tried to keep a mostly serious expression on his face, but the grin he wore wasn't going to go away any time soon. "I'm happy for you mother!"

"You just got back and you want to run out into danger again?" He laughed purely jokingly. It wouldn't be totally out of his mother's character to charge right back into the roguelands but he figured she would want some time to brag a little more. After all, becoming a reaver was something worth celebrating! Mint all around for the new reavers! Or at least that's what happened when he finished his first raid, mint for him and Skall both.

Yet maybe his mother did want to celebrate. Maybe she actually wanted to go raiding once again. Maybe she hadn't had a big enough taste of the roguelands yet and would actually want to leap right back into action, which was fine with Tollak given he hadn't actually anything to do today. "We should though mother, go a-viking together!" He smiled and then eyed a thrall or two the raiding party had brought back, "did you catch a thrall?" He asked, curious about the details of the trek now.

"Naturally," she said with a chuckle. "I might want a night to rest, but I also might be itching to go again sometime soon." It was like when you got a new treasure- you wanted to use it or look at it as much as possible when you first get it. She was sure the high drive to go viking would calm down to normal levels in time, but the lioness had been looking forward to being a reaver for a very long time. She needed to make up for that time lost, she felt. "But for tonight- we have plans, and you're welcome to join! Your sister gathered up a bunch of… stuff for use with her mint mixes- she's tried some out in the roguelands and it was extremely good. We're going to her place to celebrate after things get wrapped up here! Would you like to come?" She was certain she knew Tollak's response, but asked anyway. Maybe he had plans, she didn't know.

"Ah… Yes, the thrall. We did catch one, Dagny can have it," Inari said with a snort-chuckle. "The pair of us took a lioness- she's a complete ditz. It's really not much to brag about, so don't get too jealous. Her name is Kaede, and I'm sure she won't spare you talking your ears out of your mane. Feel free to smack her up some, she needs to learn her place." Inari said a bit grumpily. No matter how much she had whacked the bright thrall lioness in the face, she still chattered away- quieter now though, and more hesitantly towards Inari… At least that had been a bit successful.

"Excellent." He smiled at his mother's response. He had to admit it was a bit of a childish impatience he felt in that moment, he could hardly wait until he got to go a-viking with his mom! Oh, and Dagny too if she wanted. It'd be a complete outing of the entire family, minus Stigtyr of course, but Tollak was happy to leave him sitting at home anyways. The roguelands were no place for flower-blooded brothers like him.

"Definitely!" He shouted with glee. No question about it, if Tollak remotely had any sort of plans for the night they were considered cancelled in that moment. He simply was not going to miss out on this celebration. His mom had been waiting to become a reaver since before he had even been born, and this was something of a milestone for his sister too.

His ears perked up at mention of the thrall being chatty. "Hmm? Maybe she doesn't realize she's a thrall at all." He joked and released a small bout of laughter. It wouldn't be the first time he'd met a thrall that didn't realize the difference between where they stood and where the warlord was.

"Great!" Inari exclaimed. "I know it's been a little while since I've had one of Dagny's concoctions, so I'm anxious to see what she's got in mind. She's been talking about how great it will be half the trip home." Inari said oddly cheerfully to her son. She couldn't wait either, a big family Viking. She was so proud of Tollak. She was proud of Stig, too, in a different way, but Tollak had followed the same path as her and she related better. At least Stigtyr wasn't content as a Freeborn and was trying to make something more of himself, even if it wasn't reaverdom.

"It's that, definitely. Your sister keeps her in line, but only just barely. I'll tell you, I've done most of the work breaking that one in, Dagny's too soft on her. Who would have thought, Dagny's got a little of Stig's floweryness in her after all." Inari sighed at the thought. Ah well, she overall was on the right path. "She was incredibly helpful snagging her though, anyway. If the thrall is hers she gets to treat it how she decides is best. But I'd be less kind if it were me." Inari said with a hint of irritability. She knew that whenever she would visit Kaede would shut up.

"If anyone can make a great brew, it's Dagny!" Tollak laughed with praise in his tone. His sister certainly had a talent for anything mint related. She could make a lion roaring drunk or just a mild bit more tame with the right ingredients and proportions in her creations. The ability to do such from just knowing your plants well enough was a quality he was tempted to almost be jealous of. Almost. If he wasn't so good at being a reaver he probably would be tad jealous!

Tollak gave a sly grin, "No need to fear mother, I'm sure this 'Kaede' will learn her place eventually." Well, she would if Tollak had anything to do with it. He found himself- for only a few seconds, planning to leave her in front of the sparring sands where the reavers played. Only a few moments there and the thrall would soon enough learn to either take orders or be prepared to fight back. After all patience and kindness weren't actually qualities that reavers were known for. Especially after having just gotten beaten in a fight... Yes, that would definitely be somewhere that Tollak would drop off a thrall he owned. If he ever owned one... Hmm.
