Two down, Qhude thought to himself as he got ready for his next opponent. Now the field was growing slim and only those with decent experience were left. Or sheer luck, he supposed. The gods smiled on who they pleased and they didn't have much say in the matter. All he knew was he was going to do his best and let his skill - and his opponent's - do the talking. Perhaps the smiles of the gods would stay on him this round as they had the last. He gave the darker male a polite bow of his head before sizing him up, deciding to once again make the opening move. He darted forward quickly, silent but ready to spar. His heart pounded with his feet on the ground, adrenaline giving him the extra burst of speed to hopefully land an extra hard smack. Roll 1: Half Gene Wilder GOOD LUCK IN THE NEXT ROUND AHAHAHAHA -makes Qhude take the walk of shame-

Sharif swallowed hard. He hadn't eaten all day, he was so nervous. Despite his family's reassurance (and his brother's victory), he still couldn't help but get the jitters. Was it anxiety for fear of losing? No... no, it was something else. Something like excitement.
Large clouds rolled overhead, painted brilliant yellows, grays and blues. It made the event much more grand and dramatic, and Sharif secretly liked that. The dark plum-gray male also noted how they matched Qhude's own colors. He returned the bow to him, taking a little more time to steady his nerves.
As he looked up, though, he saw the lion's muscles snap. Sharif quickly stood up, preparing his own attack. It was a little too late, though, as he took a sharp, short smack to the muzzle. It made his nose sting, but he shook it off. Time to return the favor! Quickly, Sharif made a jump to the left, and struck at Qhude's exposed belly. Roll 1: HalfSilverLutz Wow. xD; Today is the day of crappy rolls all around!

The retaliation made Qhude twist away from the attack, but he was just a bit too slow. He felt a paw press against his belly and he was thankful he had twisted away when he had. A full blow would have definitely knocked the wind right out of him. He padded around Sharif for a moment before darting in, swiping at his shoulder. It was more of a bluff move than anything, trying to spook the other lion, but he completely whiffed. Dang it. Roll 2: Miss
