"Oh, but it's nice exactly for those reasons when it's hot!" Mpeko said softly. "It's warm and it's soothing when it's hard to move in the sun." Mpeko nodded, "I think it's nice, then."

But Winter it was nasty. But he seemed so unhappy! Surely she could help!

Jengo could feel himself growing frustrated with this lioness?

What was her deal anyway? Why couldn't she just accept that he was having a bad day and that it was very high chances that it wasn't going to improve. It wasn't like they were best-buds or anything. She wasn't obligated to cheer him up!

"Sure, whatever." He huffed out in exhaustion, his ears folding back in his growing agitation. "And I suppose you think the heat is wonderful too."

The ear-pin wasn't missed, but Mpeko was used to her half-sister and didn't want her experience to leave her behind. Expecting a verbal lashing, the female shrugged.

"Heat without rain brings drought. Drought brings misery. I don't like the heat so much." She admitted. "But you have to focus on the positive or you'll just be lonely and miserable forever, so... I guess the heat does help dry wet fur?"
