Lock stared at the man beckoning them forward. He didn't really consider himself sympathetic to their cause, but Lutz certainly looked like he was going to get himself in trouble (really, who comes to a warehouse in the night time on their own with a bunch of bombs??) and that was reason enough for Lock to join. To keep an eye on Lutz. That was all.
Danny on the other hand had made her way to the other end of the warehouse, far away from the watchful mafiosa and was now lighting one of her many fireworks on fire.

Lutz remained totally silent for the duration of...everything, really, trying to blatantly ignore the fact that Lock had followed him here and that he was probably going to get an earful from the reaper once they were back at the school. That being said, since he was going to get into deep s**t anyways...
"Well, okay. Sounds interesting to me." Frankly, he wasn't actually interested in this whole gang wars thing that was going on--his preference probably lay in both of them failing--but life at Amity had been boring for him lately so he was down for a little bit of excitement.
Even of the dangerous sort.

Batista waited as the students lingered and remained silent. If they had no questions, then fair enough. "Alright. Come have a little preview of what's to come, yeah? Embrace your thirst for destruction and freedom!"

Aureole was sure that something else was going on but she didn't really know what. All she knew was that she was going to be given these amazing noise-makers! Well, the Peryton was on her own and she was able to make her own decisions! Yeah!
A short nod followed with a firm smile. "Yeah! I'm down for this!" Really, what was the absolute worst that could happen?

Tossing his own bomb up into the air over and over catching it like a ball the pyromance strolled over, his familiar cat prancing around between his legs. "Sample? So you're going to set a few of these off in here? Now I know having me and some fire demon is risky enough but now your practically begging to blow this place up if you're gona demo the fun now."

"You have been warned." The gaunt figure opened the case, at what he thought was the right moment, and immediately, several red butterflies escaped from it.
They seemed innocuous at first, but as they fluttered near a target, they immediately clung to any exposed skin, burrowing themselves into whatever they could find. Those who were too weak immediately burned out, collapsing to the ground, twitching and thrashing. Those who remained could barely stand, as Destruction wrecked their system-
- And gave them power. Everything was red and the feeling was intoxicating, a blanket of comfort, strength, an unstoppable force. All their untapped Fear seemed to rise to the surface, manifest in tangible form and for once they felt what perhaps it meant to be to be in control of their own destiny.
OOC - If you are Y1 roll 1d6! If you roll even, unfortunately the butterflies burn you out and you collapse - Otherwise, as a butterfly borrows into your character (at point of your choice), it latches onto your Fear and amplifies it for a very limited period of time (until burnout!) For the next 5 minutes, their Fear unfolds entirely, revealing their "final" form. This is basically what they may possibly (a version of) look like at BEYOND Alumni stage. This is their envisioning of what they would look like super powered up in their true (natural) forms. Their dice are now 2d12-4. Good luck! Blade kuroda Feel free to retag/ do a follow up mechanic! This effect burns them out at the end of an IC 5 minutes

Batista watched, smiling as the butterflies were unleashed. These kids would get a taste of true freedom soon enough. OOC NOTE Clarification: The dice powerup and look shift only lasts for the next 5 minutes IC (unless they burned out early). Then they revert back to normal. How they look and whatnot is up to you.

Lock was enjoying this newfound freedom. He had always been controlled and tempered, but something in the butterflies allowed him to harness his true self. His red lyrium templar unlimited self.
So naturally he used it to lash out at the closest person, as a means of testing the power.

To say that the Peryton was surprised was an understatement.
She thought 'Sure, some neat snapping noise-makers would be great!' but... At this price, she hadn't been entirely sure. Especially now.
Foreign butterflies fluttered about the area, not making any clear of a directions or finding a particular path. But they didn't seem to need to as many found their way towards their 'targets.' One even landed on the Peryton's cheek. Aureole stood frozen, her hooves feeling as if they were glued to the ground.
"A-ah... Wha-" The Peryton watched with her eyes widening in horror as the bright red insect seemed to sink and fusion into her skin.
She had certain gotten what she had bargained for... This were her price to pay. And she was afraid to pay it. Her breath caught in her throat and her fingers twitched, waiting for something... Anything to happen.
The first wave of uneasiness hit her like a brick wall before quickly switching to a series of chills that racked her from her head down to her hooves. It felt like liquid energy coursing through every vein in her body, trying to find a way out. A way to release the energy building up inside of her. What was this!?
Her amber eyes quickly scanned the room, finding she was not alone. Many of the others had gotten the same treatment, one even started launching attacks at others. What was happening to them?
A sharp spike of headiness shot straight to her head, nearly knocking her over before she covered her face with her sweaty palms. 'Hold it together, Aureole...' She staggered back a step before she felt herself beginning to change... Into what, she didn't know. Her wings instinctively wrapped around herself to try and protect her. For what, she wasn't even sure of yet.
Her mind was warping and she couldn't stop it. Thought swirled about and she felt herself re-living her past... So many things she buried. So many memories repressed for the sake of her own happiness... So much sadness... A missing mother, a harsh father... A tiny Peryton child crying out to any that would hear her.
They would hear her. She would make them hear her.
A shriek bubbled up and spilled from her mouth; an angry shout that echoed out from her wings emerging from around her form. Her wing-span had increased as had her hair and height. The colors of her eyes a shade darker than their normal cheery auburn. It seemed the colors of her clothes had changed along with her. The red and gold colors of her clan gleamed from her ears down to the anklets around her hooves. A more regal standing took over the posture of the Peryton; One her father had drilled into her since her mother's absence.
Aureole didn't want an explanation. She didn't care. She only wanted to be heard!
"I will not be ignored!" She stomped her hoof down, sending a crackling shock wave through the ground towards an unsuspecting ghoul or boil. She saw red and nothing more. The rage she had kept weld up inside of her was breaking out and in the worst ways it possibly could.

Like everyone else False gathered around to see what the old man had to share. The case opened and for the most part: it was a let down, "Oh noooo butterflies such power!" His eyes rolled lazily as one of them landed on Sharpie's nose fluttering it's wings before drifting into the air again towards False, the reaper reached out to grab it but found it simply vanished burrowing into his palm, streaks of red jetting up his arm as fire puffed from his mouth with a gasp of air.
"W-what what is t-this?" His whole body started to burn, his fear boiling but not over flowing out it was still trapped, he fell over squirming at the sensation as the power overwhelmed him burning him out.
Sharpie meanwhile was rolling around on the ground spazzing out from the shared link, the tiny little feline finally popping into a small puddle of ink as he too burned out.

Quillan was as clueless as ever and didn't even notice the butterflies, but felt a warmth spread across his entire body, along with a pain in his side. He turned to face the source of the attack and frowned before retaliating with an attack of his own because he was mature like that.

Seeing as Lock was now TOTALLY ACTING IN SELF DEFENSE, he raised shadows from every crevice of the room, pulling them towards him and creating a sort of suspended movement for himself; walking on cushioned shadows and never really touching the ground, almost floating.
And every part of it was coming for Quillan.
