Race: Trickster Gryfon - This certain family clan resembles birds of the raven variety, and are massive tricksters and mischief makers. Note: this is a subspecies of gryphon so as to not step on any toes!
Natural Ability: Insulation - Being slightly furrier than his family line, Hymn is able to have extra warmth against any cold climate, as well as the thick fur being able to deter any injuries.
Personality:
Crybaby: Being pampered and protected from the elements left Hymn rather sheltered and shy, so anything new or unknown makes him break down and unable to cope. Or at least, try to cope while in tears. For Jack's sake, how can one properly scare when they're a crybaby?
Reserved: In most cases Hymn won't speak up for himself, and will just sit there and take anything thrown at him while looking uncomfortable, but not having enough backbone to bite back. If things get really bad, he will dissolve into tears, not knowing any other way to deal with his emotions. This also comes from being pampered and sheltered by his family.
Aloof: Due to not being raised in a social setting, Hymn feels out of place with everything due to how out of touch he feels with the "real world" (again, sheltered), but will make due if other students at least tolerate his presence. For the most part he will stay silent and just be content with sitting and listening to other conversations if allowed, since he doesn't really know how to hold a conversation. If nowhere else, he'll most often be found either in his room or in the library... or drug along on a "broventure" by his cousins Kalden or Volt.
Resonance: Hymn loves anything to do with music and sounds, and will sit and listen to the different melodies and tunes to try to pick apart what each sound does. Sometimes he even tries to replicate them with his gravely voice.
Amass: Being part of a trickster family, Hymn won't be able to help himself from taking things that are shiny to a bird's eye - it's on a subconscious level that he inhabited from his family that most times Hymn won't even realize he's doing it.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
Born frail and white, Hymn was a surprise to his entire black ravenlike gryfon family; they were expecting a strong, snarky, intelligent trickster heir rather than the little fledgling they actually received.
Still, it was a blessing in disguise to them, because the first trickster gryfon that existed was white, and it was only through his gluttony and mischief making that he finally became black. (WORTH IT!)
Hymn's family is hoping that the school will teach Hymn various methods to make him further appreciate their style of life as gryfons, and maybe in the meantime he'll learn just how rough it is not being a part of their family - and perhaps the difference between their subspecies and regular gryphons.
They are also very curious to see if the school will teach him to break out of his shell, or if he'll shy back to the family's doting manners to live out the rest of his days.
They're taking bets, after all.
FEAR Ability: Being graceful on his feet, Hymn is able to turn and launch a kick with his powerful feline legs at the opponent, spinning to hit the opponent once with each leg.

Extra: Wings, and a ring that he has around his tail. Purple markings on his ears and tail tuft. You may also add some colorful Native American influences as markings/feathers in hair if you'd like! <3
