 Anika stood tall and proud. She was one of many reavers competing in the duels. She was pleased to see a great number of females had entered into the duels as well across all of the divisions. She was pleased that some of her daughters had even entered. Though she was unhappy that there was only three of her seven daughters duelling. She thought she had instilled better values on them, they should all have known that an event like this was important there needed to be more females competing so that the pride would see the females were just as strong as the males. This was the reason Anika was competing and was determined to win. She just wished she wasn't going up against another female, the females shouldn't be battling each other they should be battling the males. Anika would be so pleased if there was a female champion in every division. Syrius Lionwing Please quote me in your response or I will likely miss it.

 With her bright pink coat, many thought that Nymphaea was more girly than most but she had proven her worth and risen through the ranks from free born to reaver fairly quickly after she had entered the storm born. She often told herself this was of course because she was descended from the firekin. her coat had barred her from that world but it had not stopped her from entering this one.
She was and had always been a fighter, a survivor and she used her impressive bulk to not only throw her weight about but also to prove her superiority, she knew she could beat anyone if she put her mind to it. She also knew her weaknesses, her larger size made her slow and so she was always careful in the attack knowing that anyone who was fleet of foot would probably beat her.
Still she was excited, a chance to prove her worth, to prove she was a mighty fighter. She nodded in approval to the dark female before her and started to circle she was ready, ready to fight and hopefully to win.

Once the rather bright female had bowed to Anika, she followed suit. She moved quickly trying to use her slight body to the best of its ability. Anika might not have the strongest hits but she could move fast. Much faster than any of the male Reavers there was just too much size and there for they couldn't move.
She darted in toward the female starting their first match. She went to strike and missed. This was no good this was not the way that she wanted to start the battle. She step back conceding the first point to the other female. Anika shook her head a little she needed to get in the right frame of mind and make this work.

The big female smiled and nudged the other female with her shoulder as she leapt, she barred her fangs as she jumped away, her tail lashing as she stalked towards the smaller swifter female. She liked that she was up against another female. She disliked the fact that the males of the pride thought they were better, they were not better and they would prove it by fighting hard.
Diving towards the smaller female she skidded losing her footing slightly in her assault.

Anika used the other females loss of footing to her advantage before the other lioness was able to correct her path Anika went in for a strike. She managed to get a hit in swipe across the pink female shoulders. Her claws were in this wasn't a duel to hurt, or scare it was for fun.
She turned and lined herself up for another hit. She had gained confidence in the one hit that she had managed, before giving herself enough time to recover she started moving towards the large more robust lioness, but she failed to see the rock in her way and she tripped going flying and landing on her face, her rump in the air.

The big female held back a laugh. It wasn't funny that the other female had tripped like that but nymph wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth. Leaping forwards she swipes at the dark pelted behind hoping to knock the other female over and end this match quickly.
Her trajectory was off though her paws barely connecting as she skidded to a halt in the loose dirt she turned to face the other female once again. Clearly the ground was not on their side today.

Anika felt the tap on her rear as while it was up in the air. It was embarrassing but it could be worse she thought. She spun around as quickly as she could to have her opponent in her sights again. This match wasn't going as she had hoped but she was happy that if she was going to loose it was going to be to a female. She would have wanted to kill herself if it had to been to one of the male Reavers or Captains.
Taking a deep breath Anika tried to move quickly and dive in and manage to get a hit on the other females legs. It wasn't easy but she would like to get at least one point in this god forsaken match. She knew that she would have to seek Nymph out later to actually spare with her maybe train with her the other female was good.
