xxxxxxx☐ Charms - O
Yvonne's strength is spellcasting and brute memorization. She could not rely on the luck she had back when she took the OWLs, so the Slytherin took two years to fill as many gaps as she could in the subjects she was strong in. She was driven and knew what she wanted to be when she graduates from Hogwarts, so failing Charms was obviously out of the question.
xxxxxxx☐ Defense Against Dark Arts - O
Her success in DADA can be tied to her stubbornness to let anything spellcasting escape her. Her natural interest in the subject definitely helped, of course.
xxxxxxx☐ Herbology - E
Herbology, to her, only meant another NEWT to succeed in, because she understood the concepts. With good study techniques finally down, the subjection is nothing more than, "how to take care of fussy unmoving creatures". Moreover, this was an important NEWT to ace if she was to become involved in law enforcement.
xxxxxxx☐ Transfiguration - E
Transfiguration wasn't really her strong point out of the five core subjects. The material got harder, and her grade slipped a bit, so she spent the most amount of time studying for this exam. Her efforts paid off, of course.
xxxxxxx☐ Potions - O
Potions, to Yvonne, was a brute-force memorization. Taking the time to understand the steps was a waste of time for the girl, because everything came down to a single issue: Can you replicate the final product or not? It was much easier memorizing the hundreds of potions, most of which should've already been learned by heart.
Electives
xxxxxxx☐ Cursebreaking - A
While her grades for the core classes rose, she neglected her electives. It was, after all, the more "important" subjects that would get her to where she wanted. Still, having anything less than an Acceptable on her transcript would hurt her resume, so of course she'd have to pay closer attention to her classes. Thankfully, Cursebreaking touched upon her strengths in spellcasting. If she devoted more time to this course, perhaps she could've gotten an E.
xxxxxxx☐ Wandless - A
Wandless magic, to Yvonne, was simply a "neat trick" to know. Her knowledge was sufficient, and she could always grab someone who succeeded in the course to mentor her after graduation. So, for the last couple months, Wandless took a back seat to the five main classes she needed to do extremely well in.
