After the surprise of winning her last match, Kylig was given very little time to savor her victory. Her owner rushed her over to another sandy ring all too quickly to face another lion. Being a hybrid, Kylig was larger than the average lion, but she had quickly learned that most Stormborn were at least her size. So it became easy to tell when a thrall had been born into the pride, or if they had been captured, as she had been. Her newest opponent, it seemed, was one of the latter. That didn't tell Kylig much about how likely she was to be a good fighter, since it could really go either way, but Kylig was hoping for an easy match. She was tired and hurt and just wanted to be done with all this.Tanakako Almost forgot about this. Sorry!

Růžena hadn't expected to get this far. As a female who had spent most of her life hunting and looking after cubs, not fighting, she wasn't even sure why her master had entered her.. But her opponent for the first match had been a sweet little girl cub with a damaged foot. Ru hadn't wanted her to get hurt so she had simply scored the points as carefully as possible and moved on. As a result she was fresh and unharmed, though still with absolutely no idea how to fight. Trepidation filled her as she moved forwards towards the ring, having caught sight of her next opponent. Růžena herself was a smaller female, even for a rogue, and so the stranger towered over her. Swallowing nervously she entered the ring, preparing herself for a real fight All she hoped for, was to avoid any serious injuries.... Princess_Feylin No worries, weekends are busy for me. Rolling. Will fill in soon.

Kylig shook her head and flexed her claws in the sand. She had received a briefing of sorts on her opponent on the way over, but since Captain Tallskog had not known much about this next opponent, so there had been little for him to say. That her opponent's previous opponent hadn't even been fully grown wasn't helpful to Kylig, since it meant there was no useful intel about her fighting style.
Kylig had no idea why her owner was taking this so seriously, but if he was, she would, because there was no other option. He would be hugely unpleasant if she lost, almost certainly compounding any injury she received here with more targeted injuries of his own. So whatever her opponent's deal was, it didn't matter to Kylig. She was here to win.
"You could bow out," she suggested across the sands. "You're pretty tiny. I could break you by accident."

Růžena glanced at the stranger’s sharp claws, wincing inwardly as they dug into the earth. The offer was certainly tempting, but just like most thralls, she had no say in whether or not she competed, so with a reigned shake of her head she padded towards her designated spot in the ring. “It’s ok… “ Offering a soft smile she took a deep breath and prepared herself to get beaten up. Well… she would try her best, but she had seen these Stormborn fight and knew she was no match. Her plan so far? Run. As fast as she could, avoid the other female’s claws, and just to keep out of reach. If she got a point or two that would please her master, but that was secondary to simply surviving this.

Kylig tossed her head as if to say, "Well, I tried." Then she lunged toward the lioness, claws outstretched and teeth bared, just to see if a sudden attack would win her an easy point. Catching people by surprise could have that effect, and since this wasn't an honest-to-gods fight, Kylig could get away with just scratching her opponent rather than actually injuring her.
It didn't seem much like fighting as she had experienced it, but she supposed it made sense to the Stormborn. They wouldn't want their thralls too badly damaged. She didn't realize that the same rules applied to the fighting freeborn as well.
To her frustration, her lunge fell short and she found herself directly in front of the lioness instead of barreling into her. Not good.

The sudden lunge made Ruzena freeze to the spot in shock, dark eyes going round and wide as the giant shape of her opponent shot towards her. It was a completely automatic reflex to lash out with her paw when that terrifying vision slammed to a halt directly in front of her. Her entire body flinched backwards yet her paw flashed forward, claws sheathed since she hadn’t even thought before it had already happened, and thumped the hybrid on her chest. Shocked at the impact and not really registering that it had been her attack that had caused it, she jumped backwards, body twisting like a scalded cat as she fled across the ring to the opposite side, where she skidded to a stop and stared back at Kylig in terror.

Well, that had quickly gone to s**t, Kylig reflected as she eyed her opponent across the ring. She supposed she ought to be grateful that her opponent hadn't used claws when she struck her chest. No claws meant no blood. That meant no point, right?
It had occurred to her in an earlier match that her dark coat could work to her advantage in that it might make it less noticeable when she bled, as opposed to when she drew blood from an opponent with a lighter coat. However, that seemed a chancy thing to rely on, and she didn't intend to.
Kylig bared her teeth in a silent snarl and repeated the attack to see if she could drive her opponent out of the ring, which would surely be a point in her favor, right?

The second time the giant feline leaped at her, Ruzena was a little more prepaired. While still terrified she was at least not frozen to the spot and the second the stranger rushed at her, she scrambled out of the way. This time her wildly flying paw thumped against the hybrid's shoulder, the lioness's aim less than hopeless and it was blind luck she contacted at all. But since she had been preparing to flee once again, this time the strike included claws. There was at least enough of her conscious mind stil working that she raced around the side of the ring but stayed well within the boundary. Keeping as much distance between herself and her opponent as she could while staying within the rules. A voice off to the side shouted something that made her cringe, terrified dark eyes flicking to Kylig. Princess_Feylin I hope Ru isn't doing too bad! It's hard making her fight as she has no idea how. XD

Kylig hissed as her failed attempt at charging her opponent earned her a slash across the shoulder. That had hurt, but more painful had been the realization that she was now one point down. It wasn't an unfixable situation, but it was not the way she had hoped things would go.
Against her better judgment, Kylig glanced to the audience, which was mercifully small, since thralls were less interesting combatants than freeborn, apparently. Less interesting or not, Tallskog was there, and he was looking at her with an expression that she knew boded ill. She had to get her head in the fight.
Fine. Enough attempts to intimidate the lioness. Kylig decided that she was just going to batter her opponent into submission. It wasn't as if they were awarding points for style, after all.Tanakako The RP will have ten posts after your next one. Would you like to just wrap it up rather than playing out the whole fight? I am really terrible at RPing battles.

Ru had, for a brief and rather ignoreant moment, thought the big hyrid was giving up when she looked out of the ring. But then she had simply increased the ferosity of her attacks. The fight was one of the worst moments of Ruzena's life thus far, including the desolution of her old home and getting captured into this one. She might not have bene fighting for her life, but it sure felt like it and the amount of narrowly avoided hits were less to do with her skill than sheer desperation. The few points she scored herself were mainly accidents. Though her total lack of training or intent did make her impossible to read, somehting the pale lioness wa snot even aware of as she struggled to siply avoid being beaten up. By the time the end of the fight came, Ru was simply desperate to be out of there, soaked in sweat and panting hard from her crazy dashing about. She truly doubted anyone had ever put on a performance as bad as hers... Princess_Feylin Sounds good to me! I've no idea how to rp the fight anyway. LOL Edit: Is this ok as an ending?

The rest of the match basically went downhill from there. Kylig had no idea what it was, but the lioness was impossible to get a read on, and Kylig simply could not predict her moves. It was beyond frustrating for the leopon. The best that could really be said about the drawn-out fight was that Kylig had sustained no serious injuries. Those, she suspected, would come later, when Captain Tallskog took her to task for her failure to perform.
At the end of the match, Kylig had grudgingly congratulated her opponent before slinking to her master's side to receive the punishing blow she knew was coming, a precursor to what would follow in a more private place, she had no doubt. The fact that he didn't look as enraged as she had feared did nothing to alleviate her concerns, especially since the cuff he gave her seemed half-hearted. What was he planning?Tanakako That looks good to me. (In case you're worried, Tallskog's not going to do anything to her after the match. He's got more important things to worry about).
