Svana grinned back at her companion, pale eyes flashing. "Come on." She called, tail flicking as she forced herself to wait for the muscular brown lion following along behind. Since she had become a reaver, she had attended many vikings under Captain Lucivar's command. She had grown both mentally and physically, honing her already sharp fighting skills in the wilderness of the Outlands. She was not the only one, however. The Captain's son, a male named Fenrir, who had been so quiet and soft-spoken when she first met him, was no longer the nearly invisible young adult he had been. He had grown into himself, becoming not only more confident and skilled as a reaver, but he had bulked out also and now almost matched his Sire in terms of strength and size. He was still quiet though, more inclined to watch and assess everything rather than chat about it. He was a brilliant bodyguard though, he saw and remembered everything but others rarely even noticed he was there... It would be easy to underestimate him, to assume he was all brawn and no brain, but Svana knew better. He was actually very sharp, and there was a good mind under that stern exterior.
Huffing as he finally caught up she thumped him on the shoulder in playful reprimand. "Stop being so slow today... come on."

Fenrir watched the sleek rump of the female striding along in front of him. It was kind of mesmerising, the sway of her hips and the flick of her long tail. He knew better than to say anything though, or even hint that he saw her as anything other than a reaver. God forbid she heard him call her a female. If she knew he even thought of her that way she would give him a beating he'd not forget in a hurry. Svana was a wild one, a true daughter of the storm, all fire and lightening. She was certainly one of the more talented reavers he knew, male or female. Maybe matched only by her brother who had joined their band a short time after Svana herself. The pair of them certainly were an impressive sight on a viking.
Her teasing, yet slightly rough-voiced call caught his wandering attention and he picked up his pace as well as his eyes off her rump. It would end badly if she caught him staring. "I'm coming..." He grumbled in reply, ignoring the hit that bounced of his solid shoulder. He wasn't sure what the hurry was. His father had sent them on ahead as scouts, but honestly there was nothing much for miles around. Sure they hadn’t been on a viking for a while now and everyone had excess energy they had to burn, but Svana seemed particularly wired about this job. Shrugging at his thoughts he glanced around dutifully.
"So what are we looking for?" He asked, his matured voice was low and deep, giving the impression of a rhythmical drawl even in the middle of a fight. It made others assume he was slightly slow in the head, not that he usually bothered to dissuade them of the notion. Their opinions on himself didn’t have any baring on his skill as a warrior, nor on his standing as a reaver, so he let them think what they wanted. The only ones who mattered were the lions who knew the truth anyway.

Fenrir grunted in reply, head swinging to glance at the reaver beside him. Her frown teased a tiny smile to pass across his muzzle before he turned back to the trail. "Didn't know if we had any specific target for today.. is all." He finally replied, his low rumbling almost lost under the heavy thud of his pawsteps, Svana's were much lighter as she very nearly floated along. At least to his mind. She was so very graceful while still being completely able to kick his a**. He admired that about her, her speed and strength all wrapped up in a slinky, sensual bundle. The best part was that she didn't even realise it. She had no idea how well she had grown up. And how that natural, automatic sexiness attracted the attentions of many a male in the pride, from Captains to lawspeakers. Holding in an internal sigh he pulled his gaze from her paws where it had strayed and dutifully returned to watching the rocks and bits of grass for any hint of tracks.
He knew he would never admit his attraction to her. Not least because he liked his fur where it was.. that is to say, attached to his body. But also she was a good friend and he would never risk that for a bumbled confession she would only reject. And he knew she would, she was a high-achiever... training day and night, winning her reavership as an adolescent no less! And he knew she had designs on becoming a Captain. She had already started to take on more and more responsibilities under Lucivar and she had been pairing up with the younger reavers. Even if it wasn't a conscious decision, she was still scouting for her own band. The fact that she seemed interested in his own abilities as a fighter made his chest swell with some unknown emotion. Hopefully he would join her band when she inevitably succeeded in her quest.
