I hate Cash's version of Hurt. I just can't picture that voice...that song..it just doesn't WORK for me. Sorry if i'm hurting someone else's feelings, but.. <3 Trent

Trent was never mad at Cash. He let him cover the song and when he heard Cash's version he said he was grief striken because he knew the song wasn't his anymore; Cash had made it his own.
He was never mad though.

aaah... anyway in an interview trent said he was kinda honoured for the cash's version.

trent did the original, we all agree on this one.

Trent did say one bad thing abot Cash's cover. he said that when he heard the part where "crown of s**t" is changed to "crown of thjourns" it felt like he was watching someone else ******** his girlfriend

Haha yeah that's pretty funny. It's especially weird if it's Johnny Cash, old and stuff...

Then again we don't know what kind of girlfriend we are dealing with here.

Oh, and to everyone desperately trying to find the answer wether he is dating anyone or not.

THE MAN IS PAST 40! Most of the people in here could be his kid.
And, I really don't think it matters to appreciate his work more or less. I don't think Trent is the kind of person to date an obsessive fan in the first place.
