[CYOA SOLO] Torsten Goes to Study Human Superstitions!

Torsten blinked at the posting. Interesting...Human Studies. He smiled wide. That was exactly what he was looking for. Standing on his tiptoes the small dragon took down one of the many copies of the flyer reading it over as he walked towards the Professor's Office. Recalling that one vague class he was in ages ago, he gulped. What if she remembered and got upset with him over his conduct. Shaking his head to free his mind of worry the small dragon continues on. He blinked as he walked in...she didn't seem terribly upset with him.

Though, he did notice she spoke a tad fast and had him sign...a lot of papers. Uh oh....

Just what had he gotten himself into here? The little dragon didn't have to wait long on that as she finally slows her pace to explain things. He was going to study the Theory of Superstitions. Silly things that humans do...particularly around Halloween which they believe prevents bad luck and misfortune. Odd. Didn't they know Luck Dragons? He shrugged. Then blinked...so he had to only observe them...that seemed simple enough.

Taking his glamour and the pass. He went through the portal. He blinked at the rather...wooded area he appeared in. Ah. There were humans all around, tho it seemed like this was a small housing settlement of some sort. Interesting...the woods were nice...the breeze was cool. Full Moon. Torsten smiled...

Time to go Human Watching.

3: There are a few humans looking at the sky tonight. In fact, they're doing their best to not look down!

What better way to start his "watch" by spotting some humans...watching the full moon too? No...he tilted his head. They weren't...looking down? Odd. The small dragon walked around them...yeah. They really weren't looking down. Huh. What sort of thing was this...he would have to talk to the Professor when he got back. He was way too curious about this one. He knew not to play any mischief on them but...one was about to trip. Stepping up next to them his whispered.

"There's a stick in front of you...." then jumped back as they jumped about a foot in the air to collide with their friend and stammer about ghosts. Then looked down, adding on that those were really helpful ghosts.

10: So many are dressed up! …Wait, are they dressed up? Do humans usually look like this?

He shook his head and leaped up into the branches overhead. There was a breeze that he could move with as he continued on. Seeing smaller humans...oh. Those must be their scarelings. Awwww. He crouched down to watch the small things. They were dressed up like...well like Halloween Folk. He knew it was mere outfits as the scents didn't match what he saw. That and a few of the smaller scarelings were too small for their gear. This was just...Cool! So Humans were somewhat aware of Halloween and paid homage to the FEAR. How...touching. He smiled sitting on a branch watching the little human scarelings skitter about with their parents. Some were grouped together reminding him of his schoolmates. Some were alone...he didn't like that. Who was he to judge and manipulate them though...so he sat back and kept watch.

This was...just awesome so far. The humans were paying homage to Halloween Town.

8: You find a ring of pebbles around what looks like an old bonfire. You nudge one with your foot.

After a time Torsten watched as a few of the bigger humans walked away into the woods. Curious he leaped, gliding down to a tall wall and proceeded to follow one. Leaping yet again into the trees he let his base instincts kick in as he stalked them. Seeing traces of bonfires the small dragon dropped down to walk forward and examine one.

It wasn't much to look at...he nudged a pebble and jumped when he heard a shriek of one Human saying there were ghosts! Leaping back into the trees he hightailed it.

1: You spot a rather nervous-looking human tying knots into a handkerchief!

As he made his way back towards the larger groups. He spotted on human twitching...uh oh. Looks like all the talk of ghosts spooked the human. The poor thing was tying knots into the cloth it was holding. Torsten tilted his head and felt a small ounce of pity for the thing...before smiling as he recalled that all the shouts of "ghost!" were most likely his doing. He looked around then saw the time. Oh Jack! He had to get back to the portal...thinking of what to put down in his report the small dragon was brimming with pride at being apart of Halloween Town.
