Koin didn't wander away from his family often. Aeolus got worried for him, and often fussed over him as he returned from his wanderings. The wind called him in different directions - ones that often lead away from the main pack. He would have been a Pathfinder in his youth, if he remembered his past, but that was far from the point.
For now, the old dog wandered. He glanced up, spotting Skaut flying above him, almost circling him as if he were a kill, but the vulture only did it to keep an eye on the surroundings. Koin was, after all, weak in his old age. He doubted he could win in a fight.
He huffed a sigh, pausing for a moment to survey the area. There was a dappling of trees ahead, but it was mostly flat. He hummed as he moved along, looking forward to what the day ahead would bring.

Hallow had also decided to spend a good part of his day wondering. He still had no idea where he was, how he got there or even what it was that he supposed to be doing. He would see the occasional prey wander by, and though he had the urge to hunt it, he wasn't 100% sure on how to catch it.
He'd have to relearn that, relearn so much... At least he couldn't remember enough to realize how much he'd worked for and lost.
He peaked out from the cover of some especially tall grass of the Savannah, taking a quick look before finally deciding it was safe. He moved out, more into the open, and took another look, seeing the buzzard in the sky. Something told him there would be food near by if he followed that bird, and thus, he moved forward in the direction of Skaut and Koin. Boy was he in for a surprise.

There was a soft chattering sound that came from above that had Koin glancing up to watch Skaut flying down towards him. She was a large bird, nearly coming to Koin's shoulder. She didn't quite come to met him, just giving another small sound of warning,.
To Koin, it didn't sound completely urgent, so he looked in the direction his companion was before he heard her flutter away again. He watched the spot intently, curious about what she had seen. Prey wouldn't warrant that reaction, nor other dogs.
He kept humming, though, softly. If Skaut didn't find the intruder to be a huge danger, then he wouldn't worry.

It took Koin a moment to register the leopard before him. The poor thing looked disappointed, but Koin knew the reason almost immediately. He gave a small chuckle, shaking his head. "Sorry about that. Skaut likes to circle above to look for danger, but it draws all sorts of attention," The old dog apologized.
Skaut's habit of circling above often lead to a lot of awkward encounters. He was old, too, so many thought he would make for a quick and easy meal, and he hoped that wasn't the case.
Truthfully, Koin was quite lax about the whole idea, though he was sure he would die soon, he wouldn't die as a meal, that he knew. He was strong enough, still, to hunt on his own as he did when he was younger, though Skaut did a lot to aid him now. "I can help, if you're hungry?" the old dog offered.
