____ Mandibula Island is located directly South of Sero. Clustered with two other islands, it is to the south-east of the grouping, with the largest, uninterrupted space of farmable land. The main compound for the insect clan is constructed on a higher vantage point to grant them sight of their property and a defensive advantage. The main compound is walled with only one gate, the rest of the clan sprawling out from the wall according to their rank. As such, the head of the Clan and their immediate family live in main house at the center of the walled compund. The lowest members of the family live in the simpler homesteads outside the wall, in charge of the more menial tasks of maintaining both the compound and the crops.
____ Greenhouses are dotted around the north-eastern edges of the estate, leading into the farmland proper. They vary in size, depending on the rarity and importance of the crop inside. Quite a few of them are purely for medicinal purposes, the majority of the food for Kirigakure being produced in the wetland farms. The farms themselves are deliberately planned out to both the South and North East of the Aburame compound. The food is packaged and processed to the North West of the compound, just by the dock that will enable its transport to the rest of the village.
____ Directly North of the compound is Mandibula Bay, a private section of stone beaches, leading out to the other two islands nearby and, past them, the rest of the massive lake.

____ The walled compound is far more decorative in its architecture than the simple homes surrounding it. Harking back to more traditional routes, ornamentation and lanterns line the meticulously paved streets. The most impressive area is the central estate at the heart of the compound, where the head of the family and their immediate family members reside. In charge of ruling over the entire household and the farms, their wealth is tastefully reserved, holding a more mature, aged tone.

____ After the flooding of Kirigakure from Sero, the Aburame were granted the island, and the responsibility, of maintaining the farmlands and green houses to support the village. Their utilisation of bugs is vital to the continued pollinisation and survival of the crops. In exchange for this service, the Aburame have a personal compound on the island, allowing the privacy and, to a degree, autonomy. It is also a stable source of income for the clan.

An out of breath taylor came jogging into the compound. She stopped just inside the walls, hands on her knees and breathing hard. She was pushing herself to rush a bit, having been given a short time to collect some gear and regroup with her squad. She moved into the compound after catching her breath; a relatively quick affair as she had been running after classes and in the early mornings for years now. She scooted through her families back door and made her way quietly to her room. She was trying to avoid having to talk to anyone at the moment. She swung into her room, pushing the door mostly shut, leaving it cracked so she wouldn't have to fuss with the latch. Looking around she realized that she didnt have a travel pack and it made her frown briefly. Instead she grabbed an old school back and grabbed a change of clothes, folding it and placing it into the bottom of the bag. On top of that she placed some hygiene products. She may not be the most attractive person around but she didn't want to smell bad or have her teeth rot out either. Throwing a few extra changes of socks and a spare pair of shoes into the bag she hefted its weight over her shoulder and made her way back to the kitchen.
The entire time she was doing this, her bugs were busy making clothing for her. They were aligning silk and working on the final touches of her body armor. Seems like it was just the right time as well, they were leaving the village. She was somewhat taking a page from the oinin handbook on this, her bugs making her a nearly complete hood and lower mask, the back of her head still open so her hair could be free. She picked up a pair of plastic goggles with yellow lenses and slipped them on before the bugs completed the hood. The various layers of silk had portions that different in tint and coloration but mainly it was still mottled grey.
She knew she couldnt bring family meals along with her to her mission, however she could grab things from the emergency cabinets of the household. People got called on spurr of the moment missions pretty often and the aburame household was rather proactive with their preparations for just such occasions. She filled the top portion of her bag with high nutrition ration bars, perhaps too many. There was enough of these bars for her to be sick of them but alive for a week. She then slipped two water bottles into the outside pouch and left the house, heading to their meeting place. |

Once she arrived home, Nozomi quickly gathered her stuff and started to pack inside her bag. The few things she had packed are sleeping bag, first aid stuff, snacks, water filter, canteen, and few other things. Clothes weren't that important so she didn't bother packing it. She assumed that there was other things they can have to survive there. With a frown, the ginger Aburame looked everywhere and almost started to freak out, she couldn't find her whip anywhere. Finally finding it, she placed it on the little clip for whips at her hip and pulled down her sweater over it, it can be seen but only halfway. Grabbed the backpack, she ran down to the boat as they made their way to meeting her teammates.
