congratulations, dreamer!
    you now have the honor of completing the skitter scatter challenge. to complete this most excellent quest and unlock the powers that lie within, you must complete these requirements.
  • a solo (500 words) of Temperance going to other ashdown and exploring
  • a RP of Temperance finding something unusual in the other ashdown city park (tag in Whaler!)
  • a solo (750 words) of Temperance finding the item that has been requested of her
  • a RP returning to the park with the item (tag in Whaler for a surprise!)
  • a RP of Temperance back in Ashdown with another visitor, dealing with what has happened to her

    in exchange, your character will receive an item to be revealed!

    have fun, and let us know when you've completed your requirements!

      this small crystallized skull is all that remains of the creatures that lived in other ashdown park. within other ashdown a small, shadowy squirrel shaped familiar will take form around the skull and is able to carry out small tasks for temperance. it is not capable of speech, much like any pet, but seems to understand temperance just fine. within ashdown it can only be summoned for a limited amount of time (a couple hours at most) and is harder to see.

becoming a noble
    Unlike wargs and weres, nobles cannot be spontaneously created. All nobles must go through the process of servitude-trials-ascension. What does this mean? You have to work with an existing PC noble in order to become a noble yourself, and your character will be replaced by a fetch in Ashdown while this happens. You must notify the shop when you begin the process to become a noble by posting in the registry of names; you will also submit your character's potential noble abilities there. (Please note that any RP or solo that is used towards your class change cannot be used towards your growth to another stage as class change is a type of growth!)

  • a noble must take an interest in your character or your character must express interest in becoming a noble (1 RP/500 words). [x]
  • a noble must either take your character or your character must approach them and be replaced by a fetch (1 RP/500 words). [x]
  • 5 RPs, separate from the above, of your character's fetch interacting with the world OR your character interacting with their patron [x] [x] [x] [x] [x]
  • your character overcomes their fetch and becomes a noble, OR your character becomes a fetch for their noble patron (1 RP/1500 words if solo) [x]

    An item attuned to elemental earth, to ensure the protection of the space in which we will cast from ill intentions - must be created.
  • one RP where the involved characters do research into possible symbolism for earth [x]
  • one RP where the involved characters acquire a rare material required for their item's attunement [x]
  • one RP where the involved characters create the item using the item creation dice mechanic. [x]
  • one RP with Silk giving the item into her care. [x]

    forequarters don't make a dollar
      Melany no longer has an arm.... An exercise in magical reconstruction.
    • speak to someone about magical constructs - Liam. (1 PRP/500 words) [x]
    • obtain a prosthetic (plastic, regular, wooden) and attempt to bind magic to it - to 'learn' it like a blue print. (1 SOLO/800 words)
    • attempt to heal an old scar/wound specifically by making the body 'remember'. (1 PRP/500 words)
    • ask Melany permission to help/infuse some of her magic into the prosthetic. (1 PRP/500 words)
    • approach magically inclined people to enlist their help for a power boost during the procedure. (2 PRPs/500 words)
    • magically attach the arm using the people to boost. (1 PRP/500 words)


    magic binding as originally stated was that Temperance's magic wouldn't suit because Melany is not intrinsically connected to the source of Temperance's magic, so it would have finite power. Whereas Melany is intrinsically connected to her own source of magic, so the prosthetic limb would be part of Melany's magical ******** brain schema or something. Like reconnecting a limb after it's been cut off, but magical. Temperance, you're a magical nerve surgeon, etc.
    Temperance attempt to bind Melany's magic to the prosthetic at one point.
