RP Summaries - These are brief summaries intended to 'catch up' anyone who missed part of or all of an RP, while also being a good point of reference for anyone looking back on them. Note that a new summary thread will be made when a new arc begins, with all previous ones being moved into the Team Mission Archive.

Chapter 1: Saving Private Rhyme

Part 1 - First Rumblings

It all started with what should have been a simple mission. One of the team's members, Rhyme, was tasked to come over to the Devon Corporation. It turns out that their president, Mr. Stone, had managed to find another Zapdos Heart of all things. The team being more than a little familiar with such a rarity as one powered their headquarters, asking for her assistance appeared to be a no brainer. Her and two of Devon's employees, known as Hans and Gretal, were to head to the Kalos region to check the findings out. With their task in hand, as well half of a payment that should cover the rent for some time to come, the group set off by sea to Coumarine City and then to Terminus Cave. Aside from early aggression from the Pokemon within the Lumiose Badlands, things seemed like they'd go easily enough.

Of course, this being Snagem, things rarely go that smoothly. A few more complications arose as the three were en route to their destination, and a foreboding feeling was hard to shake once they finally arrived. Despite this, asking for Rhyme's assistance started to pay off; she could feel that the second Zapdos Heart was close, and was tasked to lead the way. It wouldn't take long for them to find it at all, only to discover that it wasn't a Zapdos Heart at all. Whatever it was, however, the group couldn't figure out at all. Only that it was... rather gelatinous, kind of lonely, and a little beat up. Rhyme was able to befriend it after a short while and tried to help it, they would discover that they weren't alone. The equipment meant to extract a Zapdos Heart that didn't actually exist was destroyed when they inspected it, and by the time they discovered their eavesdroppers, they'd be dealt with and captured with utter ease. A distress signal would be sent from Rhyme's SNAG as it died and went off the grid, as well as a sudden call to the rest of the team from Devon...

Part 2 - A Flare in the Air

The team woud arrive at Devon posthaste, with a number of reasons for them being called. It would quickly become obvious that doing so wasn't their first choice, what with the corporation trying to keep out of the much more public eye that Snagem's presence would end up creating, let alone the dangers it also presented. A few things would go on in relatively short order, with the team being met by Isaac; after the events in Hoenn to pay the rent and again to keep Devon out of the public eye, it turned out that he had taken a job there as one of their researchers to take the deceased Bulder's place. They would learn quite a bit in a short amount of time, including about the so-called Steel Snatcher they had dealt with shortly before.

To begin with the information dump they got, the Steel Snatcher - or as they would learn, a man named Wes - was actually under their employ to obtain and help them research Shadow Pokemon from within the shadows. Not only did he somehow have a Snag Machine to work with, but it seemed that yet another member of the team was helping him out. Wes' meeting with the team was a coincidence caused by a lot of miscommunication and lack of knowledge, mixed with the team being forced to make the matter their business when Wes up and snagged Tristen's Blitzle. The shorter gist was that the team's actions had flubbed Devon's own actions, something that Mr. Stone was none too happy about.

The second part of their information had concerned Rhyme, Hans and Gretal's mission to obtain the Zapdos Heart that wasn't really one at all, and the apparent involvement of Team Flare within Kalos. Fears that the trio had been kidnapped by them were apparent, with their physical tracking only going as far as Lumiose City. The team would need to split up, some going into Lumiose City to find out what they could while the rest went within Terminus Cave to try and find the missing trio, rescuing them if need be and finding whatever was discovered there. Just before leaving, the Odd Egg that Cera had given to Devon for research months ago was finally returned, feeling that leaving it in constant stasis was unethical. Its conception and incubation within Shadow Virus-infested territory meant that whatever was inside was sure to be shadowfied, and care would need to be taken whenever it hatched.

Their missions known, however, the team would go off to their destinations. Isaac would come along as well, deciding to head off with the Terminus group.

The Lumiose group would largely have an easyish time, not finding a great deal... apart from Team Flare's presence, that is. And a lot of egg puns that weren't what they were cracked up to be. They would be spotted fairly easily, however, forcing a fight. Though the fight ended up in Snagem's favor, they would end up chasing them around the city. In the process, however, they would also manage to find Rhyme and the Devon employees. Or rather, they'd find the Snagems in the process of everything. And, apparently, a letter for Aile. The contents were unknown, but once everything seemed to be falling into place, it was decided to reunite with the group in Terminus Cave.

The Terminus group, on the other hand, would end up with action going on as soon as they got in. An unusual blob would end up with them in short order, as well as several others that were apparently being researched by Team Flare. Or, at least they tried to. Rounding them up wasn't the easiest task, especially when one of them decided to have a bit of fun and a few Snagems were around to slow them down further. They'd end up in a fight theirselves, managing to mostly deal with them for the moment. The strange, blobby core was secured and, for whatever reason, became affectionately referred to as "Zac." An impromptu interrogation from Kain would result in them learning that Flare was trying to find something called Zygarde Cells and Cores, as well as having to try and keep anyone from Flare from getting reinforcements.

As soon as the two groups were together, it was quickly decided to give the core to Aile. What the team didn't know was that they had just willingly given it to Team Flare's newest member, and easily one of their strongest. As soon as Aile was given the core, Snagem would be forced to contend with her Pokemon. Including one very powerful Regirock and a sandstorm. The tables were turned towards Flare's favor before they knew it, and the sandstorm made it a breeze for them to escape if the sheer power of what they were forced to deal with wouldn't have done it. Anger was soon in the air alongside confusion, betrayal, and more egg on their face than any pun could ever give. They would be left with little choice but to leave, emptyhanded and played like a small band, but at least with Flare's captors rescued.

Part 3 - Volatile Liquidation at Snag-A-Cup: Everything must go (boom)!

With Aile's betrayal and the immediate realization that the team was likely to be compromised in a number of ways, it wasn't long after the events before it was decided to make one final return to Snag-A-Cup, the team's hidden HQ in Kalos, and grab everything they could before promptly destroying it, They couldn't afford to waste much time, especially as Team Flare was likely to be looking for it before the Snagems could even think of licking their wounds. While it wouldn't take them long for them to do what was needed, several problems would arise as they went about destroying the HQ. To start, Team Flare was already out and about, ending up in a few fights with the Snagems as the others were doing what was needed. Right before they could leave, further complications would arise in a teleportation scrambler being activated in Prism Tower, causing any and all teleportations to go awry if it was within the city. Finally, it would also be learned that Flare was well aware of where the hidden HQ was, presumably informed of the location by Aile.

Neither group would be able to get out easily, with a large portion of the extraction group stopped in their tracks easily by a sudden rainstorm and crash of Thunder. The group tasked with keeping Flare busy would have their own issues, with the entire group sent crashing to the ground without any trouble thanks to a small army of Talonflame and Inkay. Two lucky saves would come to the Snagems, the first being Reno taking some sort of motorcycle to get one of the groups into its sidecar and over to the other group. The other would come at the nick of time thanks to Sub, his Registeel bashing a hole into the wall Flare deployed to keep the Snagems in. They would finally escape shortly after with several teleports from Claydol, barely getting away before the teleportation scrambler would've been amplified.
