Sleep. It was something he longed for in the hot days, mainly due to how well he did in the warmth of the unrelenting sunlight. As he laid there, miserable he finally gave a huff and got up. He was going to go find Koios, at least that would take his mind off things. The two of them together where untouchable! Unstoppable? Shaking his head he decided it didn't matter, when they were together it was awesome. His large head and fat paws were awkward on his still lanky body and the young juvenile padded around looking for that ghost of a friend.
It wasn't long before white fur came glinting into view. He couldn't mistake that form even if he wanted to. Giving a cheeky smile he picked up his pace and thumped his way towards him at a semi-fast pace. While he might look odd it felt normal to him so he let it go. "What are we going to do today." He said as he got close enough to pounce on his friend.

Koios was nearly mowed down by his equally awkward looking friend - the look likely looked amusing, as did most juveniles through their stages of growth that was just life.
"We could toss small rocks at passerbys?" He mused - the act was harmless perhaps, but could certainly get on the nerves of the humorless adults. Unfortunately it seemed the traffic was light today so maybe not. "That or we could try and sneak to the border again?" It wasn't like they were trapped in the pride, but at the same time they were. Koios often dreamed up leaving, but he'd discover with age that it was just juvenile desire to rebel against the system.
"So what do you think?"
Taking a natural lead on things, he knew his companion wasn't enjoying this heat, how could he? Koios didn't know the misery of a dark pelt, but imagined that if he were hot his companion was hotter.

While tossing rocks at passerby's was always fun he wasn't sure that was what he wanted to do today. However his eyes came to life and a wicked smile formed upon his lips at the thoughts of attempting to get to the border. "Now that sounds like a plan!" He said with a flick of his tail behind him.
"I say we try for the border, but maybe we can try a different method." There were always guards, ALWAYS. It's like they never had a life outside of making sure no one came in, or left for that matter.
Maybe they could spook some animals and avert their attention? He was sure they could come up with something!

"That's a great idea!" The white lion was already thinking of ways to distract the guards. "We could always keep the rocks we've collected and toss them in a different direction?" He offered as a suggestion.
The idea seemed so simple, to simple? But it was worth a shot. "Cmon, we may need a few more to really get them moving." With his words he began to move into action, seeking out the pile he'd already begun to compile together as well as some new ones. This wasn't a hard task, given the amount of rocks in the area and should Areo disagree then they could try both ways.
"Oooh, look at this big one!"
Koios lifted a doozy of a rock with both paws and imagined chucking it over his head to distract the guards. "Is that to much?" He laughed.

"That is a smart plan!" He said wondering why he hadn't thought of it before, but that was what his friend was for! It was a very simple plan but sometimes simple was all you needed. Looking around for some more rocks he found a couple that would be perfect to throw.
"Show me." He said bounding over to look at the rock he had found. "Will you be able to throw it?" He almost laughed trying to imagine how that would go. "I don't think that will go very far." He snickered.
"I think just this bunch of little one's we've got will work just fine." Though they might need something to carry them in? Looking around he found a big leaf and bounded over towards it and carried it back. "We can carry them in this." He offered.

"Thanks!"
Koios was proud of his plan. "Oh, what a good idea!" He proclaimed for the second time during their time together as Areo showed the leaf. "That would be perfect." He smiled largely and set down the over sized rock in favor of the much smaller ones that he had found already. Once he'd collected as much as he could he set them on the leaf - there weren't a high volume, but enough that they could easily distract the guard.
"Alright, let's go and get them!"
Koios was ecstatic and picked up an end of the leaf, anticipating that Areo would cooperate and snag the other - it would provide more stability for the leaf vs. rocks situation. "This way." The words, though there and recognizable, were muffled by his jaws on the leaf. He waited patiently though for his companion to bolt into action along with him.

Oh good, his idea was well liked! He very much liekd Koios enthusiasm and grabbed up the other end of the leaf and bounded along with him careful to not tear the end of it in his mouth. They wanted it to remain as in tact as they could keep it. "OmmWoooord" His mouth full of leaf he motioned for Koios that he had the leaf firmly secured in his mouth so that they could move together and hopefully not tear it in half in the process.
