Fox rolled up the window as they hit the highway, leaning back into her seat and settling into it with a grin.

"Yeah? I dunno, starting with a baby storm for lil' ol me isn't too bad. Just means you didn't get off to a strong start that couldn't be beat out for a future adventure, yeah?"

"Go big or go home," he intoned. "And I guess, since we couldn't go big, we're going home." Horace snorted. For perhaps the first and only time, he vaguely missed Oklahoma.

"Sorry I couldn't show you a better time, Fox."

"Hey, I'm not complaining." Fox smiled, settled easily into her seat. "Maybe the next one we'll get is a littler bigger, mmm?" she tried to focus at least on the positive possibilities.

"A boy can hope," he said, shooting her a grin. "I'll show you some of the pics that turn out later?"

"You can ride along again, too, if something else cool happens. Like.. I dunno, a hurricane."

"That'd be nice. I'm sure it won't be as nice as having been here for it, though," Fox said, rolling the window down again to lean her head against the frame, sighing as the wind blew against her face. It felt nice.

"I dunno how well I'll enjoy a hurricane but....sure. I'd be up for that."
