I mean protestants in the 30's viewed it as a way to eliminate suffering, while catholics viewed positive eugenics(encouraging certain high quality people to breed with tax incentives and the like) as good but not negative eugenics(forced sterilization and stuff). I really don't why anyone would oppose positive eugenics, but I'm sure there are those who do.
