This it what it came down to. He shouldn't be surprised. Money was often a factor with this sort of thing.
"How much and if I do, will it get you off my a** about this?" he grunted.

She thought for a second. "'bout four hunnerd twenny five. Chump change." Sticking both hands in her pockets, Preacher wondered briefly if she should have inflated that number. Woulda served him right.
"N' yeah, sure, I ain't talk to ya 'bout it after this, but I'll still think it. This prolly cost ya employee of tha month." Which highly amused her.

That was doable. He wasn't happy about it still, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been.
"Sure. Whatever," he scoffed before grunting lowly, "Like I give a s**t about employee of the month anyway."
Preacher was hardly the only one around the building who thought poorly of him because of the whole fiasco, after all.

Shun scoffed, "I do not carry that much on me. You will get your money tomorrow."

"Fine." She paused, pushing up off the wall. "So long as ya know how ta keep a deal. See ya, idiot." Preacher pulled out her phone and began to walk away. "You know where ta find me tomorrow."
After all, they still worked in the same building.

"My word is good," he stated pointedly. If nothing else, he knew how to keep a promise.
With a shake of his head, he went on and walked off. Even with Preacher off his a**, he knew this was far from over for him. It was just a matter of time if he couldn't figure things out.
The next day, Preacher would receive an envelope with the cash, as Shun stated.
