Shik was apparently going to be waiting for a very long time.

This time was totally different, for whatever reason, and she was basically allowed a leisurely stroll, picking up targets as she went.

She knew she couldn't ever be too cautious, however, and that the other shoe was going to drop at any moment.

However...things continued to go fairly well. She ducked around corners, avoided obvious traps, and even managed to collect another target, even though no more were needed. She made it further than she thought she ever had before. Rocks did fall on her at one point, but she carried on through them with steely determination.

Now she just needed to find the damn exit without dying.

And there it was, one slight misjudgment, a step in just the wrong place. The trap floor swung downward beneath her and she was falling, grasping for purchase with her hands, wings beating though there was little room from them. She managed, but just barely, to hold on, and hefted herself back up, rolling across several more tiles.

Only to spring a trap and have rocks fall on her from above again.

She cursed, loudly, and flung her arms over her head, and when the cascade ended, and the dust cleared, she peeked out to see clawed feet not a foot away from where she lay.

"How long---" She began to ask, resigned, with a hefty sigh, as she pushed herself up to a seated position on the floor, but then shook her head.

"Never mind." She grumbled, "I don't want to know."
