Personality: Erasmus is a breezy and aloof individual. Contrary to most monsters, he prefers the company of demons—particularly the fae—and reapers, whom he feels he can relate better. This is largely due to his affinity for magic (at least as far as monsters are concerned) and appreciation for culture. He feels he does not match the stereotype that all monsters are stupid and savage, and resents that so many of his kind seem to take pride in that reputation. As a result, he regards any association with monsters as a burden of shame.
Vain to a fault, Erasmus takes great pride in his looks, particularly in his humanoid form (as his identity as a monster is not immediately apparent). He spends a lot of time preening to make sure his appearance is just so. Going hand in hand with his vanity, the kelpie is an enormous flirt. He has a charming and graceful nature, which allows him to bait others and draw them in. Unfortunately, as soon anyone reciprocates the feelings or seeks him out, Erasmus seems to lose interest. He has earned the nickname “Eros” for his tendency to make and break hearts.
Though Erasmus might come off as cunning and manipulative (two traits he tries very hard to emulate), he is too soft-hearted to take much advantage of others. He himself is easily wounded when he is deceived. He tends to keep himself closed off from others, however this has little to do with lack of trust or anything of that sort. He simply has an introspective nature. Often times he is prone to losing himself in daydreams. That said, when he puts his mind to a task he is studious worker.
Erasmus is easily flattered by gifts (compliments he takes for granted). He particularly likes chocolate, and will latch onto anyone who can provide baked goods. Jewellery is also an easy way to win his temporary affection.
He is a pathological liar. He generally lies about more mundane matters, but on occasion he will spin tales to bolster his reputation.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Erasmus has ambitions to become a sorcerer (never mind that such lofty goals are typically reserved for reapers). He hopes that he can master his control of FEAR at the academy and learn new abilities.

Erasmus’ hair produces kelp seed pods, which, when embedded in an opponent, take root and siphon Fear.

Clothing Style/Colours: Swamp sorcerer; lots of rings; abundant jewellery made from bone, freshwater pearls, shimmery fish scales, and abalone.
Extra: Finned ears, long horse tail (similar in appearance to hair), fangs, bioluminisecent freckles.
