WHACK A WALKER

Azura had taken a break from the dance hall and wandered out to the pavilion. Students and visitors alike were participating in various games. Her sapphire blue eyes gazed over the odd assortment of booths and games. What in Neptune’s name was a White Walker? On closer inspection, the things you were supposed to beat with a mallet looked like blue corpses. Being a tad blue herself, she was not sure she would like this game. When in Atlantis, with a shrug she picked up the mallet from the gnome that seemed to be into this more than his companion. The other one, who had appeared bored before she arrived, gave off the rules and saying that she should not harm real zombies. He continued to have a bored air around him as she felt the weight of the mallet in her hands. She had never done something like this before, she wished for the help of her two new friends but was also glad that they were not here to see her make a fool of herself should she miss one of these “white walkers” (who were more blue than white).

The mermaid lifted the mallet high and nodded to the gnomes to start the game. She could do this.

Azura was panting after the end of the game, she had never felt anything like that, it had released quite a bit of her frustration, but she realized that her aim and reflexes sucked. She only hit two of the six. TWO. At least that was better than zero or one. That thought cheered her up, as well as the thought that Vale did not see her. Perhaps she could get him out here and have him teach her how it is done. She gave a giddy smile and walked away. Until next time White Walkers.

50-75: You find a wooden stick. ("Thats a magic wand, and it belongs to a wizard-" "WRONG. STORY" ).

Azura looks at the stick in disappointment but holds on to it anyway and continues on to the next game hoping for better luck.

WHACK A WALKER

Azura had made her rounds with the game, some of them had peaked her interest and she had tried her hand at them. The throne was one that she avoided; it did not look like it could hold up to the weight of a feather, let alone her. It was a gaudy piece of furniture, was that the fashion for those who lived above the sea? To own something or aspire to own something so absurd? With a shake of her head, her memory shifted to the prize she won. It was a stick or a “wand” as the game keeper had informed her. Supposedly in some circles or stories it was considered magic, but the mermaid it was a piece of a tree (thus why she loved it).

Sapphire blue eyes locked on the booth that had started her on this path. She still had no idea what a White Walker was or why they needed to be whacked. All she cared about was that it was fun. The last time she had played the game she missed more of the white creepy heads than she actually hit, this time it would be different. She would show the Walkers that she was no joke.

The ghoul took the mallet from the bored looking gnome, her eyes were glued to the game. The first head popped up in the middle. WHACK. Contact. She did it again off to the left, then to the right. Was too slow with the one on the bottom left, but hit it on the top right, and missed it again at the bottom middle. Four of six, she was slowly getting better and her reflexes were reacting how she wanted. Now only if Vale was there to cheer her on she would have hit all six.
