When he's not being pressed, Tanner is actually a fairly friendly guy. He genuinely seems to like socializing with people, and is relatively at ease in social situations. Tanner can make acquaintances rather easily, even if he doesn't get close to people easily, and likes to think he's pretty good at making people feel like they're welcomed.
Tanner is fairly perceptive when it comes to other people. He's fairly good at picking up the intentions and feelings of others, and often adjusts his behaviour accordingly. For the most part, it's to give himself the maximum advantage, though if he's friends with someone, he may recalculate to be helpful to them if needed.
Tanner is a bit ... hot-headed. It doesn't take much to set him off, and he tends toward agitation more than is probably healthy. If something isn't going his way, it won't take long before everyone knows about it. He can also occasionally take being insulted a bit too personally, even if the person insulting him isn't actually being serious.
Other people may set himself off easily, but Tanner almost sets himself off even more. When he does little things wrong, or acts in a way that doesn't go over well--including snapping at others--he can spiral into further frustration, beating himself up figuratively and, on occasion, literally. It's a streak of perfectionism he needs to learn to let go.
Perhaps a remnant from his old life, Fahim seems rather stoic and analytical. He's not particularly emotional about anything, really, which can make Tanner see him as rather cold. It's not that he's cold-hearted or anything, though--it's just that Fahim doesn't really emote about much.
Fahim is fairly intelligent, and catches on to new information quickly. He'll sometimes pick up on clues or patterns before Tanner does, and will make sure to point them out when he notices. It also sometimes pushes him into a bit of a coaching role, where when Tanner isn't getting something that Fahim already got a while ago, Fahim'll start directing Tanner the right way.
Fahim seems rather mission-driven. He's not particularly worried about what he was before or even where he originally came from, and has little interest in cultivating anything beyond his hunter bond. He knows he's supposed to be helping out the hunters, and especially this particular hunter, and so he dedicates his entire being to that.
Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter?
Tanner had always seen the shadows, ever since he was young. He felt them, too; they always left him chilled, with goosebumps rising on his arms faster than he could hide them. He learned quickly that no one else seemed to, but that was fine. Tanner couldn't care less if anyone else could see them, he just knew he did. At least, he didn't think he cared if anyone else was capable of seeing them, until someone else told him they actually could. Not only that, they also offered an answer to Tanner: the ability to figure out where the shadows came from, and more importantly, how to stop them.
It didn't take much to convince Tanner after that.

Physical Description:
Eye Colour: Black
Hair Colour/Style: His hair is white, with the tips and back dyed various colours of the rainbow. He keeps his hair a bit shaggy, sitting just above his shoulders.
Skin Colour: Light brown, cooler in tone.
Clothing Style/Colours: His Hunter coat resembles a sweater jacket. Underneath the coat, he wears comfortable clothes like t-shirts and pants with a lot of pockets, preferring cargo pants and belts he can mount pouches onto. He's generally a fan of rainbow patterns on more monochrome colours.
