Natural Ability: Hypnotic Bioluminescence :: The most obvious source of this is lighting up their angler-bulb, but Deep Dwellers can also create glowing patterns and lights all over their body, which subtly enthrall other individuals, drawing them towards themselves - similair to a Kelpie's Lure, and also used to draw tasty tasty fish towards them in their natural sea habitat.


Personality:

Angie is not your stereotypical monster. Most monsters -- according to stereoptype at least -- are loud and brash, determined to be the center of attention. Angie would rather be at the back of the room in a corner. That is if they enter the room at all. It's not that they're shy, or that they don't like people. Angie loves people. They're just also utterly terrified of them. An anxious creature first and foremost, Angie tends to convince themself they're being a bother, and that they should just be quiet.

But if Angie does manage to get involved, they are a hard worker and a supportive friend with surprisingly strong convictions for such a seemingly meek monster. If Angie sees someone getting bullied, they're likely not to get involved immediately - they won't step in and tell the bully to back off. Believe them they would love to, but they just, they just can't! But they'll step in afterwards. Help you feel better, remind you that you're valid no matter what.

The most likely cause actually of getting Angie to interact with someone (other than if they interact with them first) is if they're experiencing distress, or require help. They'll still be super anxious about it, but it gives them a reason to get over it. This doesn't usually apply in high-stress situations, and it can still take some time, though. Angie feels for other people, and tries to be kind wherever possible. And unobtrusive. That's important to them too.

Despite this, Angie has a tendency to keep grudges. Somewhat of a black and white thinker, they forgive and forgive and makes excuses for bad behavior for a long time, but once you're in her bad books you're there for good. And whilst she's unlikely to ever confront anyone about it, she hates as strongly as she loves.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Angie has the potential to be an excellent monster! An excellent scarer! They're just to anxious to do anything with their natural qualities. Worried for their offspring, Angie's parents quietly raised the idea of sending Angie to school. Angie loved the idea. Back at home, Angie is one of a sea of siblings, all louder and more energetic. Hopefully at school they'll have the time and space to figure themselves out. And maybe, just maybe, become less anxious along the way!

FEAR Ability: Flashing Fury (The Mind) :: FEAR boosts and warps Angie's natural abilitiy to bioluminesce, making it brighter and disorientating instead of an attractive glow.


Physical Description:

Eye Colour: Blood red, Angie's eyes are sclera-less, stretching a dark red from rim to rim. Their pupil is a lighter red, and their eyes reflect light back at the viewer, similair to a feline.
Hair Colour/Style: Long and teal, Angie's hair seems to be constantly rippled as if it were in water, the natural slight curl giving it almost a kelp-like look about it.
Skin Colour: A pale blue, smooth to the touch in an almost rubbery manner.
Clothing Style/Colours: Underwater, clothes are more hassle then they're worth. Angie is torn between the fact that clothes are weird against their skin and that clothes are fantastic and beautiful and should be taken advantage of immediately. They usually end up wearing dresses and small accessories, but sometimes on more masc days they wear shorts and a tunic instead.
Extra: Angie's ears are finned and movable, and wiggle sometimes when they're particularly emotional. They have an anglerfish-like bulb that protrudes from their head which always subtly glows, though Angie tries to keep it as dim as possible to avoid attracting undue attention. Webbed hands and feet denote them as a water dweller, as if the red gills on their ribs didn't give it away. But Angie's most striking feature (other than the bioluminescence) is perhaps the line of fronds down her spine, leading into a large frond-lined tail, comparable to an axolotl. Despite this looking like hair, they are in fact sensory fronds.

Essentially, this means you can get your art certed, make your character's journal, and most importantly start RPing.
