TRAIT Dramatic Aurelia is a rather...spoiled child, and tends to be a bit outlandish in her actions if she doesn’t get her way. This is usually shown through conniving plans to manipulate people into giving her what she wants.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Aurelia was born to Hawthorne Collingwood and Menodora Grantsworth-Collingwood. She was spoiled completely her first two years of life and then, Birch, Ceres and Dunn were born. All attention was off of her and pushed towards Birch. While she was very young, her mind recognized that the reason her parents weren’t doing as much for her was because of her Birch and Dunn. This started her hatred for her younger brother. As she grew she studied at home, sometimes with her mother and sometimes with her Maternal Grandfather, Demetrius Grantsworth. Demetrius would raise the girl’s spirits, telling her stories about the female heads of the Grantsworth family, Women who refused to let some man take their claim to their house away from them and letting her know that one day she might even be as great as they were. She knew then that she wanted to be just like them, and then she was glad that she was the eldest born. After all, according to her Grandfather the eldest born is usually the Heir. When Aurelia turned 5, that was when Elowen was born. Aurelia, for the most part didn’t mind her younger siblings, sure they were annoying and they divided their parents attention from her but she knew her place, she was eldest so automatically she was the best of them all. Or at least that’s what she believed. Life moved on rather normally for the young girl, her rivalry with Birch only seemed to grow as the two aged and her father continued to ignore her for Birch. When Aurelia turned 7 she asked her father when she would begin learning to become the head of the family. To her surprise her father told her that she would never be the head, after all only men could be the head of the Collingwood family. At this Aurelia’s irritation for Birch went from just irritation to pure rage. He had taken what Aurelia had believed to be her birthright. She was born first, why wouldn’t she be the one to get the claim to the family. And even if something happened to Birch, then Dunn would become Hier. To Aurelia it wasn't fair. She could never forgive her brothers for this, after all, if they had never been born she would have automatically been heir, at least in her mind that’s what would have happened. After this Aurelia made it her goal in life to somehow convince her father to change his mind. She was going to become the head of this family despite what he said. Her anger with the situation eventually helped to manifest her magic, when one day she accidentally set fire to the chair Birch had been sitting in during dinner. At 8 her mother had another child, Forest, it was clearly obvious that the boy was not the son of her Father, but her father was adamant that the boy was his, after all he couldn't admit that his wife was having an affair. Aurelia thought it was dumb, everyone knew he wasn’t Hawthorne's and Aurelia even heard her Grandfather speak about it sometimes. When Aurelia was 10 her younger sister Ceres, one of the triplets, started showing her magic but neither of the boys did. Of course the three were only 8 but Aurelia being Aurelia instantly latched onto the fact that Birch and Dunn hadn’t shown magic but Ceres had. She began taunting the boys, which she would until either of them showed magic. Even poking jabs at them when she received her letter from Hogwarts, after all, it would be best for her if they never showed magic because then her father would have no choice but to make her his heir!
