Skuld 28 - 3 = 25 / 50 HP Eier 17 - 3 = 14 / 50 HP Snek DED / 40 HP
Skuld also withdrew her weapon and stood back to watch the life fade from The Serpent. It released the blue and white bird and curled up on itself belly side up. It writhed in a wad of snake and blood, trying to shake off death. It gave a raspy gasp and slowed down its movements. After a moment, it ceased to move anymore. The blood continued to flow from the wound, even after its life was gone.
Skuld wiped her sword on the snake's dinner it had dropped at the start of the battle. It was already dead and served well to clean off her blade with its fur.
Eier looked awful. She fell to the ground. Skuld reached in Eiers bag, and found a bottle of anti-venom. "Looks like I'm the one taking care of you for a change." she said with a loving affection for her sisters curative skills. Skuld popped off the cork with her teeth, and held the bottle up for Eier. Eier tried to protest, wanting Skuld to take the cure first. Skuld looked down at her sword then back to her sister. As if to say, if you don't take this cure, I'm going to have to kill you. Eier complied and gave a sigh. Skuld poured half the bottles contents into Eiers mouth. Eier swallowed. It felt like fire in her throat. She looked longingly and desperately at Skuld. "Calm down." Skuld said to Eier as she drank the rest of the anti-venom. Her sister had obviously wanted her to take the cure first, but Skuld was stronger than she was.
As the toxin subsided in their veins, the two lay there together, in a world of their own. Both high on the success of their battle. Skuld removed her helmet and helped Eier remove hers. They would rest here, till they felt well enough to move on. When Eier regained her strength, she dug in her bag for a salve and used her paw to spread it over Skuld's bite mark from the snake. The salve is a recipe all her own, that helped stop the bleeding and encourage healing. As a bonus, it helped with scaring. Though Skuld still sported quite a few scars. She didn't always let Eier heal her.
"Bird, are you hurt?" she said after she had put the salve on her own wound, without even looking at him.
Borealis had woke up and sat there silently watching the mighty warriors tend to their wounds. It was sweet, and he didn't want to ruin the moment. Plus, he still felt like his insides had been smooshed together... Borealis startled as he was addressed. Guess they knew he had been watching. "Umm, yes, I'm okay. Thank you." He had a name, but it seems they had already forgotten or didn't care.. They really were strong though! He hadn't imagined how strong they were when he had been flattering them with compliments before they took the quest. He felt kind of sheepish, and worthless.
Eier walked over to the snake, close to where the bird lay. "You did well."
Borealis blinked at Eier. Why was she just standing there? he was taken back by her words. He didn't' feel like he had done well at all! "But, I didn't do anything." as he said this, the blue mini motioned at the snake with a paw. Curious. Borealis stood up and hobbled over to where Eier was standing. Looking down, he saw all the claw marks he had made on the scales of the snake before he had been captured in it's coil. He puffed up, so proud to see that he had done damage!
"With training, you could be a good fighter."
Borealis had tried to insist that he stay with his new company, but in the end, they all parted ways. He would remember this for the rest of his life though! he had been a somebody today!
