Here you will find a list and descriptions of items that are unique to this guild and Snagem canon. Some may exist in-game but have been given additional properties in our canon so if you encounter something in-guild that isn't behaving like it does in the games you can find out why here. This is also the first place to look for completely Snagem unique items and what they do.

[Minerals]

Item: Normal Gem aka Purite

Description: A mineral crystal, the crystallized form of pure untainted energy, what laymen would call Normal type energy. Normal Gem is its common name but in industrial and scientific fields it is known as Purite. Generally common, Purite does not remain in its base state for long as it is relatively quickly altered by its environment, taking on the characteristics of the environment around it. All Elemental Gems start off in this state of Purite. There is little industrial use for Purite and is mostly used for experimentation and research, its pure energy favored in lab tests.

-

Item: Fire Gem aka Pyrinite

Description: A mineral crystal, the crystallized form of Fire type energy. Fire Gem is its common name but in industrial and scientific fields it is known as Pyrinite. Common in locations of volcanic potential. Pyrinite give off enough energy, even in their unrefined state, to be used as an alternative for charcoal. They are a favored source of environmentally friendly method of cooking foods and as a heat source as they give off negligible amounts of exhaust. However due to their heat output and relatively short life span outside of their favored environments they do not see much use outside of volcanic towns and the surrounding area. Technology is currently being developed to make their use as a heat source more practical economically as a way to combat climate change and the use of non-renewable fuels.

-

Item: Water Gem aka Mizurite

Description: A mineral crystal, the crystallized form of Water type energy. Water Gem is its common name but in industrial and scientific fields it is known as Mizurite. Typically found in riverbeds, underground streams, or other places with moving water, and especially in oceanic caves. Mizurite is one of the most common Elemental Gems and as such have little value. Despite the assumptions one might make that they could be used as a source of water it is actually technology exhaustive to produce water from Mizurite. It has been observed by Pokemon researchers however that semi-aquatic Water Pokemon, and other Pokemon that rely on keeping their skin moist, seek out these gems and carry them in preparation for journeys away from bodies of water to use them as a source of replenishing their own fluids. Pokemon researchers are currently studying this phenomenon in hopes of making Mizurite water extraction technologies more efficient.

-

Item: Grass Gem aka Yerbite

Description: A mineral crystal, the crystallized form of Grass type energy. Grass Gem is its common name but in industrial and scientific fields it is known as Yerbite. Commonly found under forests and other places of heavy vegetation. ??? has been used for centuries in a grounded up form as a mix-in for soils to provide plants additional nutrients. Grass type Pokemon love soils containing Grass Gem infused soils and will actively seek out Pokemon such as Diglett and Diggersby to Rototiller the gems into their soil in exchange for fruits and other produce provided by the Grass type Pokemon. Despite how useful they are in agriculture the mass extraction of these gems has been limited or banned in some regions and localities due to the destructive process of extracting them. Typically only small scale extraction is permitted with certain limitations.

-

Item: Dark Gem aka Ebonite

Description: A mineral crystal, the crystallized form of Dark type energy. Dark Gem is its common name but in industrial and scientific fields it is known as Ebonite. Is widely used for its ability to block out or contain all Psychic and Ghost energies, making it a common, however expensive, building material to prevent teleportation in and out of buildings as well as to prevent Ghost types from passing through walls. Usually found inside the walls of buildings and rooms of high security. Snagem HQ has been built with this material as well with only a single point of teleportation 'entry' known to the resident Claydol and any Snagem Pokemon. It's difficult to prospect for these gems as they almost seem to intentionally 'hide' themselves. Sableye are favored in seeking out Ebonite nodes while Carbink are primarily used to excavate. Mining crews however have to keep the teams of Pokemon separate as they are likely to fight over newly discovered nodes.

-

Item: Ghost Gem aka Necrite

Description: A mineral crystal, the crystallized form of Ghost type energy. Ghost Gem is its common name but in industrial and scientific fields it is known as Necrite. Known for its odd ability to spontaneously alter its shape without any known outside influence upon it. This trait makes it very difficult to work with however it shows promising properties in the dispersal of light due to the spectral nature of the mineral. Has been used as a lens at the Gateon Port light house to create a beam of purple light which extends further than any other known source of artificial light. Not many other uses are known at this time due to its difficult nature, outside of its use as a source of Ghost energies. These gems are difficult to mine for as they do not appear in nodes like normal gemstones but instead seem to somehow moved to favored locations, such as places of mourning like grave sites or locations attuned to the spectral world.

-

Item: Electric Gem aka Amperite

Description: A mineral crystal, the crystallized form of Electric type energy. Electric Gem is its common name but in industrial and scientific fields it is known as ???. One of the most widely used Elemental Gems, ??? is used in many devices and machines as a source of energy. When properly drawn from ??? has an incredible energy output for its size, surpassing the capacity of most modern batteries. With the proper technology and method for drawing from the gem a device can run for years on a single one, however unlike batteries it is difficult or almost impossible to give them back their charge. A particularly large one was found by Team Snagem years ago, dubbed the Zapdos Heart, which has since been used to power Snagem HQ and theorized by GRAY to be able to run at high capacity for hundreds of years. It's theorized other 'Zapdos Hearts' exist in the world too but have not been found. Electric type Pokemon and Hybrid are particularly drawn to these gems as a source of electric current, something like a snack to them. Chargestone Cave is the world's primary source of Electric Gems.

[Snagem Technology]

Item: Snag Machine (Version 4.5)

Description: The Snag Machine is easily Team Snagem's most iconic piece of technology, their namesake and most closely guarded. While the Snag Machine is an incredibly sophisticatic piece of technology that has yet to be duplicated in any form it has very humble origins, whoever they are shrouded in mystery. The origins of the Snag Machine are twofold, having been created twice, once in the Orre region the other in Johto. The 'first' time was through some unknown individual(s) as part of a joint effort between the mercenary group then known as Team Snagem (of which Sub stole their name) and the Team Cipher. This Snag Machine was clunky and crude. The second time it was forged from repurposed Capture Stylers stolen from the corrupt Ranger Union. Even members of Team Snagem are confused as to how it was recreated without knowledge of the Orre version, however there are whispers that a certain someone fed them knowledge from the shadows.

The Snag Machine has undergone various updates over the years including miniturizing it, adding the ability to upgrade it as needed, the ability to manage Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, and Dynamax functions, as well as the most important function of bricking and destroying its self in case it falls into the wrong hands.

Visually it appears as a gauntlet-like device with no fingers, the gauntlet only going halfway the forearm. For hybrids costume Snag Machines can be made to fit their biology. One individual, Co-Leader Reno, was able to insert the circuitry and all functions of the device into his robotic arm, an outstanding feat considering the delicate nature of the device.

-

Item: SNAG (Version 3.2)

Description: The SNAG, known by its full name as Snagem Network Access Gear, is Team Snagem's multipurpose device. The SNAG is unique to other regional trainer devices in that it operates on Snagem's own unique and encrypted network, aptly named the SNAG Network. The SNAG is first and foremost a communication device, allowing the Snagems to stay in touch with each other (via telephony, messages, and even holograms) as well as with the AI that runs and maintains the SNAG Network, GRAY. Other than communications the SNAG also works as a Pokedex, internet browser, radio, GPS, camera, and holocaster. It is a smartphone shaped device with a touch screen. The SNAGs are secured devices and if needed can be remotely destroyed by GRAY. The original model was based off the designs of the Pokegear and has since undergone revisions and upgrades. Comes with optional wireless earpiece. The SNAG is waterproof, heat resistant, and (theoretically) can survive the vacuum of space.

-

Item: Hoverboard (Version 2.0)

Description: As the name implies the hoverboard is a snowboard shaped device used as a mean of transportation, the board hovering several inches off the ground. The board has been specifically designed to hold up the weight of some of the most heavy hybrids with a max weight capacity of 600 lbs. The hoverboard is used as a convenient mode of transportation for some Snagems, capable of folding in thirds to be stowed in a backpack. Its origins lie in Team Cipher, Sub stealing one a long time ago and instantly falling in love with it, having it reverse engineered and tweaked for the team's own use. It originally was a different variety of the hovercycles found in Orre.

-

Item: Super Training Room

Description: A room integrated with advanced technology reversed engineered from the technologies created by Lumiose Gym Leader Clemont and Lysandre Industries. The Super Training Room, or STR for short, allows a trainer to train their Pokemon (or themselves) by allowing them to alter the room in any way they see fit and conjure any enemies they desire by utilize hard light holographic projections. While the room is finite in space it can expand or shrink itself to certain degrees. Weather and climate can also be altered. Its holographic display capabilities are such so that the room can almost perfectly imitate any environment or Pokemon.
