Brisco leaned his back against the bark of a tree, sitting on his hind legs and rolling his shoulders to scratch at an itch with a happy sigh. Ohhhh, that really hit the spot just right. He wriggled around to rub at the spot between his shoulder blades a little more before flopping forward back onto his paws. He shook out his fur and licked his lips, thinking about maybe hunting down some lunch -- and wouldn't you know it, he could hear the sound of something moving about nearby. Brisco's grin was a flash of teeth as his ears swiveled around to follow the sound, padding towards it; he kept to the low bushes to stay hidden, sniffing along a trail to follow his prey. He frowned. A soquili? Not food, then. (So why did it smell delicious anyway? His stomach churned with disgust at the thought.)
He continued to stalk the mysterious soquili regardless, more out of curiosity now, no longer taking that much care in keeping silent. It didn't smell like a skinwalker, and if it was something dangerous, it would probably think twice about trying to start something with him. Being cursed had it's perks sometimes -- sure, his mere appearance scared away pretty much... everyone, but that included the ones that posed a potential threat, too. He kept his head low to hide the charm on his chest; maybe they'd think he was just a spirit-touched wolf. A conversation would be nice, for once.
The soquili was in sight, now, and Brisco's ears perked up with interest. He looked like a rather lovely thing, elegant feathers, a cute fluffy tail, and delicate swirls in the loveliest shade of blue. Brisco was grinning again, but this time for an entirely different reason. He kept his tail tucked between his legs in a show of submission as he stepped out into view, attempting to appear as non-threatening as he could. If he could put the other soquili at ease, maybe he'd even be able to shift back to his true form without scaring him off. It hasn't worked so far, but maybe this time..?
"Hey there, Red. You lost?"
