The Flock had grown. A lot. A lot a lot. Like. A lot. And it was partially due to him. Like. Damn. He hadn't meant for that to happen. The number of his children so far was sixty-four. Sixty. Four. Like. Mother above he didn't even realize just what was going to happen; and now he was scared to even try to nest with another Sister. The Sacred Mothers were coming to him often; asking him for things that he was used to, but now felt like a chore. Every time he saw Avalyn he didn't know what to say. Should he apologize? Should he offer her help. Food? Song? Dance? Maybe another night. No! God, Lalita. What was wrong with him? He shook his head, snorting soft as his claws dug into soft earth. Why the hell couldn't he just calm down for a second and let nothing happen for one single day? Why couldn't he just... exist. And not. Just. Not. Lalita shook his head, laughing gently as he moved away from his nest.
It was a nice morning. Quiet, blissful. The Flock was in a buzz as per usual. The morning hunting team was getting ready, Vanrui at their lead telling them which areas to go to, what to do. She was a good leader. Many of his children were wandering around, laughing and dancing; learning where they needed to go or what they wanted to do. He didn't know where his brother was; or Avalyn. Or any one in particular. Everyone was a new face, and yet familiar. All so similar and yet so different. His head tilted as a few stallions walked by, talking in quiet whispers. New members? He blinked. No. His sons. He sighed and shook his head, ears flipping back for a moment. His tail flicked behind him, the feathers brushing the ground. Perhaps he should go take a bath, or dust his feathers. That would feel nice, right?
A sister approached him, and Lalita paused in his walk. He blinked slowly. No, that wasn't one of his children. He breathed out a sigh of relief at the thought. Thank god. She explained that there was a new stallion, that had came out of quarantine. This stallion needed to be shown the ropes, and he was showing interest in becoming a Whistle Stallion. He was different, in appearance, than most the other Flock members; more like a bat than a bird, but that Lalita shouldn't treat him any differently. And honestly, Lalita was relieved. He needed something different; something new. She told him to follow, and Lalita happily did so. They made their way through the Flock, and Lalita looked around everywhere for this new stallion. But when he actually saw the fiery male, he whistled. Well, damn. She nodded toward him, before talking to the stallion direction. "Fynn, this is Lalita. He will show you around."

Lalita couldn't help but admire him in return. After all, this male was... Well.. damn. His colors were so dang warm. Compared to everyone else here, with their blues and greens. Sure they had some Sisters and males that had those warm tones, but it was rare. Especially now. Ugh. He shook the thought from his mind, and grinned in return to the stallion. His tail gave a small flick behind him, the feathers brushing the earth before lifting just above it so not to get dirty. He was, after all, keen on his looks. It was part of his job.
"Oh, no problem at all, sweets." Lalita grinned, his eyes holding a bit of mischievousness to them, "After all, who else is gunna show a stud like you around without tripping over their own claws?" He nodded for Fynn to follow, and turned to start toward the middle of the Flock territory. Best to circle their way out toward the farthest edges that the stallions could go alone. Maybe when they got farther out a Sister would escort them to the actual boarders. He hummed in thought, his head tilting to the side. And for a moment he forgot just what he was doing. But then he saw the flash of yellow and orange at his side and pulled himself from his thoughts again. "Where are my manners? Probably back in the nest. Haa. I'm Lalita." He inclined his head toward Fynn, polite as ever. "One of the lead Whistle Stallions of the Flock. And, your name, oh Fire Stallion?"
