Name: Brian "Flint" Adams
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Species: Human/Fighting Channeler
Hometown: Littleroot Town, Hoenn

Background: Brian was born and raised in Littleroot Town, Hoenn. When his parents were younger, his mother, Allison, was a Coordinator, and his father, Adam, challenged the Hoenn League, though he didn't win. Thus, Brian has a bit of both worlds, as his parents taught him what they knew of both battling and contests. His father was also aspiring to become a great Breeder, and Brian grew up learning to be a Breeder from his father. Allison also took up the title of Breeder after she married Adam, and his parents have become well-known for breeding all kinds of Pokemon.

When his parents had to leave the house for longer than an hour or two, they would leave him in the care of his mother's Lucario, Abby. Thus, he formed a bond with the Steel/Fighting-type as a sort of second mother. His grandfather on his mother's side would also visit quite often, and the man was well-known among family and friends for his strong bond with his Pokemon. The man would spend most of his visits teaching Brian how to work as a team with his Pokemon, though Brian was still too young to have any Pokemon of his own at the time.

When Brian was around five, his parents noticed that the Pokemon he was interacting with seemed completely unafraid of the boy, and they wondered why. They were surprised when a timid young Poochyena they'd been raising warmed up to the boy right from the start. The Dark-type wouldn't come anywhere near the two of them, yet Brian had no trouble gaining the Poochyena's friendship. His parents realized that Brian might do well as a Breeder, and when he was a few months shy of turning ten, they started teaching him how to properly care for Pokemon, both hatched and eggs.

When Brian was fifteen, he was exploring the forests surrounding his parents' house and stumbled across an injured Lucario. This, in itself, was surprising, as Brian knew the Riolu line could sense aura. Perhaps it was the connection he had with his mother's Lucario that allowed him to get close enough, though he wasn't entirely sure. He wondered what had happened as he looked over the Steel/Fighting-type's injuries, and he knew the Lucario needed help. So he ran to get his parents, who followed him to where he'd left the Lucario. The Steel/Fighting-type allowed his parents to treat her injuries, then vanished into the forest.

A few months later, Brian was helping his parents tend to a sick Zigzagoon when he heard something approaching, and he turned from what he was doing to see the Poochyena he'd befriended, who was now a Mightyena, running toward them, barking. Wondering what was wrong, he followed the Dark-type a short distance away, to a shallow hole in the base of a tree. Kneeling down and peering into the hole, Brian was surprised to see a Pokemon egg. He wondered what it was doing there, and decided not to touch it just yet. From the way the Mightyena was acting, the egg had been there for a while, but Brian wasn't taking any chances, wanting to see if the mother Pokemon would return for it.

Over the course of the next several days, Brian kept an eye out to see if any Pokemon would come to claim the egg, but none did. Finally, after nearly a week, he realized the egg had likely been abandoned, and decided to raise the egg on his own. His parents were surprised when he showed it to them, but agreed to let him raise it, provided he let them give the Pokemon inside a check-up when it hatched. Brian agreed, and only a few weeks later, the egg hatched into a female Riolu that he named Lu.

As he got older, he and Lu formed a bond that would have left most trainers jealous. When asked about it, Brian explained that it was because he took the time to get to know his Pokemon, and since Lu was his first, it was only natural that their bond was the strongest. And going on a journey helped, as it allowed them to add new friends to the team, as well as strengthening their bond and allowing new bonds to be formed.

During his travels, he began to hear rumors of Shadow Pokemon, those that had their emotions closed off in favor of power and dominance. This didn't sit well with him, as he viewed his Pokemon as his family, and would be devastated if anything were to happen to them. So he made some inquiries and learned that a group called Team Snagem opposed the idea of Shadow Pokemon, and were doing what they could to help out. Wanting to help out as much as he could, he decided to join Team Snagem, hoping that he might be able to make a name for himself. He had no way of knowing that Amber Jacobs, one of his best friends and the older sister of his friend Lily (who had been killed in a burglary gone wrong when Brian was 15), had joined Team Snagem, as well.

Name: Amber Jacobs
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Species: Human-turned Froslass hybrid
Hometown: Littleroot Town, Hoenn

Background: Amber was born and raised in Littleroot Town, Hoenn. Her mother passed away when she was twelve, leaving her with her younger sister, Lily (who was sadly killed in a burglary gone wrong), and her father, James, who raised her to be a Pokemon trainer. He taught her how to properly care for her Pokemon, and how to be able to tell when they were sick or in pain. This worked wonders in helping her care for her team when she first started training, since one of her first captures refused to listen for a while. One of her more recent captures, a Shuppet named Spooky that she caught when she was 21, was more troublesome than most of her team, since she'd found him abandoned after being abused by his former trainer.

Upon seeing her for the first time, Spooky had fired a Shadow Ball at her, which left scars on her forearms that remain to this day. Since she was able to withstand his initial attack, the Shuppet grudgingly gave her a modicum of respect, though it took her well over a year to earn his trust. Now, he is one of her most loyal Pokemon, even going so far as to attack other people that would cause her harm. Amber knows that Spooky is a bit of a prankster, and thus, must keep a close eye on him, to make sure that he behaves himself, especially around Sub.

The first she heard of Team Snagem, she was out traveling and trying to catch a few new Pokemon in Sinnoh at age 22. She'd been aware of Shadow Pokemon for some time, and had even been asked by Prof. Birch to try and find one so that he could study it and try to figure out how to cure the virus. She'd been interested in helping Pokemon that had the Shadow virus ever since, and she'd been able to join Snagem without much trouble. She's been with the team ever since, and hopes to help out as much as she can. She's also hoping to possibly reunite with her friend, Brian Adams, who was only 12 when she left to go on her most recent journey.

During a recent trip to Snowpoint City in Sinnoh, Amber became hopelessly lost in a sudden blizzard that sprang up. Trying to make her way into the city became impossible because she couldn't see, and eventually, despite her preparations and warm clothing, she succumbed to the cold, very nearly losing her life. Thanks to a Froslass that found her, she managed to survive, but at a price. The Froslass took pity on her and gave Amber some of her own energy, saving her life, but also turning her into a hybrid. The same Froslass decided to travel with Amber when she left the area, not wanting to be left behind after making a new friend.

Name: Rachel "Evelyn" Sanchez
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Hometown: Celestic Town, Sinnoh

Background: Evelyn refuses to speak of her past with anyone outside her Pokemon, and with good reason. Her childhood was not a happy or easy one. She grew up in Celestic Town, Sinnoh, without a mother, as her mother had died a few years after Evelyn was born. From the time she was very young, Evelyn's father was an abusive drunk that would take out his anger on her. There were many times that she would be left bruised and sore after such encounters. It was because of this that she learned to watch his patterns, to see when he would leave the house, how long he would be gone, and when he would return. She became so accustomed to doing this that she knew when to run and hide. She'd also learned that the one place at home that she was safe from her father was in her mother's closet. She'd noticed her father never opened that door, so she took advantage of it.

When Evelyn turned 10, she left home to start her Pokemon journey, wanting to get as far away from her father as possible. On her way to the lab to choose her starter, her father tried to come after her, but she was ready for it, and bolted into the forest so that he couldn't get to her. After several minutes of hearing him swear at the treeline, she heard his voice telling her never to come back, and she made a silent vow that she would never be back until her father had passed on. As she waited to make sure the coast was clear, she heard a noise behind her, and turned to see a badly injured Eevee standing there. The poor Normal-type was barely standing, and as Evelyn watched, the Eevee looked her in the eye for a brief moment before collapsing from its injuries.

Knowing she had to do something, Evelyn picked the Eevee up in her arms and ran the rest of the way to the Professor's lab, hoping that she wasn't too late. As it happened, she made it in record time, and when she ran inside, one of the assistants took the Eevee from her arms and rushed it to the healing machine. Evelyn was informed a short time later that if she'd arrived even a few minutes later than she did, the Eevee wouldn't have made it. When she asked what had happened to the Eevee, she was told that it wasn't native to Sinnoh, and had likely been abandoned by its trainer, or that poachers had captured and transported it to Sinnoh before it had managed to escape. Either scenario was terrible to consider, and Evelyn fervently hoped the Normal-type would pull through.

As it turned out, the Eevee did make a full recovery, after spending nearly a week in the intensive care unit. When it was finally given the all-clear, Evelyn gave a soft sigh of relief, glad she'd been able to help a Pokemon in need, and thought it would be best to leave the Eevee at the lab, where it would be cared for. As she turned to leave, however, she felt a tug on her jeans, and she looked down to see the Eevee she'd saved standing there, looking up at her. Looking up at the Professor, she asked what was going on. "He wants to go with you," the Professor told her simply. "You saved his life, and he wants to repay you by joining your team." Evelyn smiled, knowing that she and the Eevee would be very good friends, and she pulled out a Pokeball and touched it to the Normal-type's head. The ball sucked Eevee inside in a flash of red light, and didn't even shake once before it pinged.

After she captured the Eevee, whom she named Rainer, Evelyn set out on a journey, wanting to see what the world had to offer. Even though she didn't have any other Pokemon, she and Rainer were happy with just the two of them. During their journey, Evelyn became friends with a girl her age named Cindy. The two were close, and had decided to travel to other regions together, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. When they were 16, Cindy passed away in a car crash as she and Evelyn were going to Cindy's hometown of Snowpoint City. Evelyn was badly injured in the crash, and to this day, still walks with a slight limp from the broken leg she received as a result of the accident. After Cindy's passing, Evelyn withdrew inside herself, and by the time she was 20, had shut out almost all humans. Rainer was the only one that kept her going, reminding her of the promise they'd made when they'd first met.

She first became interested in joining Team Snagem after meeting their members during a trip to Paldea, where she was staying and studying at the Academy. During this time, she wound up joining some of her classmates, including several Snagems, on a trip to try and find out more about the Pokemon called Titans, as well as the Herba Mystica they guarded. It was on this trip that she wound up rescuing one of the Snagems, the one named Brian, and impressed him enough he invited her to speak to his leader about joining Snagem.
