Ku is defeated by Onoki and then everyone else from the leaf village who was a friend to Mitsuki arrives.

Onoki has died and the genin of team 7 were punished for their actions until Lady Tsuchikage gave them high praise for saving the village hidden in the stone. But Boruto felt sad for Onoki's passing as he had learned a lot from the old man and will miss him.

On family day, Naruto spends the day with his daughter Himawaru though he wanted to spend the day with Boruto too. Boruto went to train and caught Shino loving a doll of the 9 tailed fox demon. Hima saw Kiba, Ino, Tenten, and a family who deserved the Kurama doll more than her.

Choji gets himself into a spot of trouble when he eats something that was supposed to be shared, so in order to win back his wife's heart, he and Chocho enter an eating contest and wins the whole thing.

At first, sasuke has some difficulty connecting with his daughter Sarada on Family day. However, after some advice from Boruto to Sarada, the connection finally works. And Kakashi tried to help too, but his plans were duds. Boruto even had some time with Naruto at the end of the day training, which is what he wanted.

At first, Namida was concerned that her sonic boom jutsu would cause harm to both enemy and friend alike, and thus wanted to train another jutsu. However, when her water style proved useless, she resorted to sonic boom and her first one nailed only the enemy, which was good. Her second one, though, did not prove so fine. She admits that she has work to do, but she knows that with enough concentration, she will be of more use in the future.

Shikadai was not doing so great with his team and a person from the political office was pestering the Nara clan to join the political scene. Shikadai was unsure of what to do until a situation with Denki and the power plant helped Shikadai with his decision. The political office was not happy, but Shikadai hopes to become a better ninja by not only knowing Shadow Paralysis, but also a wind style technique.

Team 7 and team 15 were sent with Konohamaru to investigate some attacking wild animals. What they found was a curse mark related incident and Jugo who was a part of Orochimaru's gang a while back. Jugo possesses a form of schizophrenia as well as murderous impulses causing him to transform into a beast and unable to control himself.

After injecting himself with medicine on a regular basis, Jugo is able to control his impulses, but the village that is under attack is also partly responsible for what is happening to the village as they sent a group who has the curse mark and is evil to rid the village of the leaf village.

Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki run into Suigetsu and Karin when Suigetsu and Karin had to defend themselves against the class rep's summoning animal and the class rep fainted. When the class rep came to, they all made a plan to rescue their friends, but wound up in a trap.

The two henchmen from the land of rivers were defeated by both teams 7 and 15. Boruto and Suigetsu are stuck watching Jugo transform into full curse mark form while the Onthologist who was ultimately the bad guy, laughs at the danger they are all in.

The onthologist was not aware that Jugo could steal the curse mark when in curse mark state and was thus left naked face down in the dirt after Jugo defeats him. Boruto uses his rasengan at full speed in order to stop Jugo and thanks from the medicine that stops the curse mark from spreading, the rest of the geese were saved and were able to migrate peacefully. Suigetsu helped with the spreading of the medicine though he didn't like it. Suigetsu, Karin, and Jugo take the naked Onthologist back to Orochimaru for questioning and thus ends another successful mission.

Mitsuki, Boruto, and Sarada were after a jewel thief who had apparently caused some harm to a kitten that Mitsuki ends up looking after. Mitsuki learns what it is like to look after a pet and care for it, and in the process captures the thief.

Mitsuki wasn't feeling well, so he went to his parent Orochimaru for help. After looking through his memories, Orochimaru deduced that Mitsuki got too close to Boruto and therefore became "burned" so to speak. Mitsuki drank some special tea to help with his problems and then after waking in bed with his kitty on the pillow meowing like always, Mistuki opened the door for Boruto and Sarada.
