FRIENDLY Artemis was a happy baby and toddler, as she aged as a child she continued to not be shy around new people. She is happy to socialize with others and learn more about them. She craves to be recognized as an individual with her own opinions and as a result seeks out conversations with others.
COSSETED Cathy, Artemis's mother, has not changed much in her parenting techniques as when Artemis was a toddler and infant. Cathy sees Artemis as a flawless child and expects perfection from Artemis as Cathy feels Artemis can do no wrong. Yet, Cathy is also determined to protect Artemis from any and all dangers and hurt of the world. Cathy has gone so far as to keep employed two nannies so that Artemis is never truly alone despite the demands of Cathy's career and fame. Practically any and all of Artemis's needs are catered to.
FEARLESS Artemis has always been protected by her caretakers. Living in a golden world full of any material item she wants, the best security including a bodyguard to escort her and her nanny or mother to and from school each day and another bodyguard to sit within screams distance of her, Artemis has practically nothing to fear. Even something as simple as reaching for a hot plate she knows immediately she will be protected by someone from the danger. When you have no consequences of this matter what is there to fear?
DREAMER Artemis has an active imagination and is a story teller by nature. She envisions worlds even better than the one she lives in full of love and peace and the purist of magic creating colors and happiness that she knows will never be true, yet if you don't dream it, you are only guaranteed not to achieve those dreams.
PERFECTIONIST Artemis's mother Cathy and much of the family has high expectations for themselves and each other. Cathy truly believes in Artemis's superiority and thus expects nothing but above average performance in all pursuits at the minimum. This pressure and Cathy's clear disappointment in not the best, pushes Artemis from a young age for achievement that is not always feasible. At the end of the day Artemis feels failure is not an option for her.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Cathaline Acacia League, a famous Quidditch player for an English National Team, decided to take a year off suddenly and go into "hiding" in Germany. Why? It was a mystery. The press announced that Cathy League was hiding a love child after she returned to England only a couple weeks before Artemisia's birth and much to everyone's surprise refused to reveal the father when she usually was so open to oversharing on her personal life. The father? That was Cathy and her family's secret. Cathy had decided to take the artificial insemination route to have a child without consulting her family and friends. She carefully chose a clinic that provided "top rate" donor samples only and she chose Donor 10956 to be the father of her child. With only a picture, a map of his genetics, and a description of his life including his profession (Aeronautical Engineer), Cathy made the decision that would in part make Artemis's future.

Cathy chose the name of her child to mean "gift from Artemis", Artemisia, to symbolize a gift from the Greek goddess of wild animals, wilderness, childbirth and virginity. Cathy couldn't be happier with having a daughter and is determined that through her careful planning will be the picture of perfection. As time pressed forward, Cathy became captain of Puddlemere United, even with taking a year off. Artemis is old enough to understand that her mother is far less available than many of her classmates at Queen's College Prep School the same muggle school her mother attended before moving to Hogwarts.

Artemis had gotten used to lying about the more magical aspects of her life, and focus on things such as piano lessons with her uncle and language tutoring and even shadowing her Mother at work (which officially at her school is listed as diplomatic translator for the United Nations). At the end of the day, Artemis is beginning to question if her mother is trying to form Artemis as a red-haired version of herself. Artemis dreams of changing the world to a brighter happier place, and she doubts being able to play quidditch well and being a pretty face is enough to do that. In fact, Artemis would be happier to be able to truly say her mother was helping diplomacy for the United Nations with her language skills and charm instead of being a huge hit with international reporters and look "amazing" in a bikini on a cover page.

Artemisia is looking forward to her start at Hogwarts and is nervous to be free of her constant shadows of nannies, her mother, and her bodyguards. She is less looking forward to having the knowledge that some of the upperclassmen may have ogled her mother in next to nothing posing with a broomstick. Artemisia hopes to create her own legacy away from quidditch and her mother's Hufflepuff legacy. She still suspects that her mother's obsession with appearing happy and flawless more assigned her to the house of loyalty and friendship due to Helga Hufflepuff's acceptance of "all the rest" than that Cathy truly embodies the goals of the house. Due to the fear of being one of "all the rest" if Artemisia had her choice she'd not have the Sorting Hat give her mum the pleasure of knowing her daughter got sorted as a Hufflepuff too.
