The sunlight was harsh on his pale eyes and with the weather warming up, Solanum had taken to a more nocturnal schedule. He could be absent-minded at best, wandering all over the vast Kawani lands without a single thought in his head besides the occasional urge to eat, drink, or rest. It was a simple but uneventful life... at least, until he came across one worth noticing. He didn't know who or what would eventually grab his attention, but when they did, well--how could he not find himself obsessed? Some reacted poorly to his interest; others seemed to enjoy it. Solanum had long since given up on trying to understand. All he knew was that he needed to be close to them to feel the odd, radiating warmth in his chest that only those special few seemed able to provide.
It had been a long time since he had found someone like that. It was hard to say if the stallion felt any sort of loneliness or not, considering his particular stoic demeanor and general lack of body language. As far as Solanum was concerned, he would continue to wander as he always had.
Now, under the cover of night, he shuffled out from underneath the copse of trees that had served as his refuge without hesitation. His odd appearance tended to ward away most predators, save scavengers that found his dangling entrails a little too irresistible to ignore. It didn't bother him either way, though those who thought him an easy target were often surprised by the ferocity with which he would defend himself--and his current obsessions. He bent his neck to lip unenthusiastically at the grass, finding he wasn't really hungry. That in itself was odd. He felt strangely... restless, and he found himself staring out into the darkness as though its hidden secrets would be revealed.
