Inannath was just returning from a long run and flight at dawn. She loved to dance in the wind and clouds as the sun rose above the horizon. She wasn’t able to do it every day, much to her disappointment, but she did it as often as possible. Slightly sweaty and not minding, Inannath walked slowly towards the village she lived in. Her mind should be thinking about what she needed to do for the day but instead was admiring the flowers on the edge of the path and the streaks of color fading from the sky. Inannath wondered if someone purposefully planted the flowers or if it was nature’s way of decorating. Maybe a spirit was feeling generous to the more corporeal beings and wanted to brighten their surroundings.
Just after dawn was one of her favorite times of the day. The creatures were just waking up or going to sleep and the feeling of potential was strong in the air. Today was especially wonderful as the sky had enough clouds to make the sky interesting in the way clear days could not, but not too many that it blocked the suns early lights. The wind was gentle and carried the smells of nature.
Inannath did not want to go back home and go to work on her perfumes. She wanted to luxuriate in the feeling of being out in a place that called to her soul. Her perfumes could wait a few hours, right?
