Familiars on Mythikos are considered equal pets to taurs. You may RP them, give them personalities, histories, and stories equal to that of shop taurs. Additionally, you may earn specific perks to obtain items, edits, and even alternative art for the familiars!
The only difference between the Familiars and Taurs are that they usually have limited "human" traits -- while there may be some exceptions, most Familiars are fully animal in appearance, or primarily animal.
However, they can speak to Taurs if they so choose, and are sentient beings, capable of making their own choices and living their own lives.

Cerberus The Cerberus is a common familiar around the Chimereid Isles. This species is best known for its three heads, and its varied personality; some Cerberus seem to act as one being, and may respond to a single name, while others have more varied personality based on the individual heads and have multiple-names.
Generally speaking, Cerberus are usually social creatures that prefer the company of a pack, or other companions, such a favored 'taur. While some are known loners, that is more of an exception than a rule.
Cerberus can have personalities that vary wildly but they are traditionally kept as faithful guardians and protectors. They are loyal to those they consider family or pack, and though they are usually small in size, they are fearless when those they love are at risk.
Magical Abilities: None -- Cerberus have no magic.
Physical Traits: Cerberus have retractable claws, and a strong bite. They are also excellent trackers.
Size: They are about the size of a medium-sized canine, but some are smaller, and others much larger.
