Chandra loved the moonlight of a full moon. Okay, she loved all moonlight, but there was something special about being out in a field under the full moon. It was bright but full of shadows and the contrast delighted her. Even as a filly the moon had called to her, and the fact that she had the moon phases all over her always made her think there was a higher meaning to their relationship. Every full moon, Chandra tried to find the most open area around so that she could dance and sometimes sing in the light.
Chandra still hadn’t found her place in the world, but every once in a while she would have a companion for her celebration. Tonight was not one of those nights, she thought. As she traveled around trying to figure out where she wanted to settle, if she wanted to settle, she had met all sorts of ‘taurs. None recently had been close enough for her to invite to dance. Putting aside her slight loneliness, she began to move quietly. The moon would keep her company tonight. And in the morning, she would find a place to nap before looking for something to eat.

The chill of autumn was refreshing in a way she just couldn't put into words. Lilias had grown tired of the heat of summer, and even though the nights were cold, it was far easier to warm up than cool down. She trotted through the fields, peering up at the night sky where the full moon hung lazily amidst the stars. It was beautiful--a harvest moon, if she recalled correctly. Maybe it would bring good luck to the farmers and their crops. Why, if she was really lucky, maybe something magical would happen...
Her eyes practically sparkled at the thought, and with a little laugh, she kicked her hooves up and kept going. Though the moonlight gave her plenty of light to see by, she still nearly stumbled over the stranger, so distracted by the sky. With a gasp, Lilias managed to stop before running into her. "Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't even see you." Her hands came up to sweep through her hair self-consciously, but she never took her eyes from the centauress. "What are you doing out here?" Never mind the fact that she was out in the middle of the night as well. Someone else's story was far more interesting.
Her pale eyes sweptover the other once more, noting her jewelry, the pendants in her hair. She couldn't quite make it out, even with the moonlight, but... were they... ?
