*Anita walks among the Graves. Yes she knew that her last encounter with Ashur did not go the way she thought. She had a the time been uncharacteristic of her true nature and self. It happened sometimes with very old vampires. She had been through the worst thing the death and destruction of her clan. Then a long sleep then complete lost of self leaving to complete hatred of her self before gaining control of what she once was. Would Ashur come was another thing. She had disappointed him but she was his childe and she was different now*

Since he had awoken and made his way to the cemetery, calling his children to him, only to find the numbers decimated beyond what he had believed, he had not spoken with his Antediluvean. His temper had gotten the best of him when Anita had told him she had gone to Giovanni in search of aide. He lashed out and then went secluded himself, sending his daughter out with messages as he needed, leaving written instruction for Anita and Apollo when Bennett went missing, which seemed to be happening more and more frequently. Still, he had trusted Anita to go to the gathering that Kitrye had thrown and sent out invitations to. Ashur had still not made a public appearance himself; he had no plans to either, not until the clan was stronger. And that meant being a united front with his oldest childe.
The night was dark, the sliver of the moon hanging in the sky as he slipped out of the crypt that was the doorway to their home. Anita must be out amongst the graves, because she hadn't been in the halls, yet he had felt she was not far. His blue eyes scanned the tombs in search of her. For a moment, he wondered if it was possible he had missed her inside. Unlikely, yes. But perhaps not impossible.
No.
There she was.
"Anita..." His voice was even, almost soft. After all, she was still his most trusted...childe? Advisor? Friend? None of the titles seemed quite right in these strange times. Ashur strolled up to her, leaning over her shoulder to see which grave she had come to stop in front of. "I think it's time we had a chat, don't you agree?"

* Anita relaxes a little. Ashurs presence was comfortable. She trusted him but was aware and ready. She had done what he asked and gone to Kitryes party. She had stayed in the open but masked her presence and watched as Giovanni elders had gathered. She had watched the mortals at party that fit into their clan and sent invites to her own clan members. At party she had only sensed two. Tomas and their clan elder. She also sensed Lilth and Gendel. She also looked at a lot of Kityres old books.
Looking at grave she draws her eyes to Ashur. Away from a chide long forgotten* " yes, my lord Ashur." * Her voice was stronger then before she stares and keeps eye contact with her Master respectly. a little spark of spunk in their depths.

He recognized the name of the chide on the headstone Anita had stopped at, but time had robbed him of recalling the face. When one lived so long, it was difficult to keep all the faces alive in his mind. But that's why he kept such fastidious records. The oldest were still on scrolls, the newer were kept in tombs and books.
"Tell me of the party. Did you learn anything? Did any of the others come?"
He traced a paw over the name on the headstone with reverence before drawing his rosary through his fingers. An old habit. A remnant of prayers he once did while still alive. He still recalled the words, though their meaning felt lost these days. Now his prayers went to different gods. And they had gone unanswered for some time. Were they slumbering, as he once had? Or would they be woken by the gathering of the clans that seemed to be getting more and more frequent these days?

- Anita looks at him- " yes, I have been rescribing the books in Kitryes mansion he had some old volumes on some aspects of soul and of death. Some of very old artisans had ideas." - She hands him the transcript she memorized - " I felt the presents of our God Gendel he aura was Ravnos clan. The dark mother Lilth was also there. I spotted many vampires from other clans. The Geovanni elder was there he picked a fight with clan Gangel. Clan Malkaivian was there. Two childe of out clan showed then left. The Barron Samdi was there. I was there and I watched in shadows my lord the Giovanni did not see me." - Anita watches him. She smiles at him- " As for the other task. There are many candidates. At party no made contact yet. I did spot our elder, two neonates at party I will approach them soon."

Ashur watched her as she recounted the names and faces she had seen at the party. Seemed it was quite the turn out. He bristled at Giovanni's name. Despite the fact that he had been doing his best to keep to the shadows himself, he was beginning to sense that word of his awakening was beginning to circulate. How it was, he was not sure, but something in his bones told him that was the case. The Disciple knew he would not be able to keep his identity concealed much longer. Certainly, adopting a new name upon awakening had shielded him for some time, but that privacy would soon end, he suspected. Perhaps Bennett had let his secret slip...he had trusted his eldest daughter too much. She had never truly belonged to the clan, but he thought she was loyal. Still, she was distracted these days. With a flick of his tail, he brought his full attention back to Anita.
"Very good. We need to start bringing everyone home. We need to find them all. The world is changing, yet again. You felt it with Grendel, but I think that is just the beginning." For a moment, the concept of them as a family flickered through his mind and he scowled at the idea. The concept of family had been made a mockery by Giovanni all those centuries ago. He would never consider his clan his family. Even those who shared his blood or even his bed. They were a means to an end.

- Anita smiles at him - " yes, I will call Apollo and our daughters to help with the task. Calliope has been wanting to meet you. Daughter has grown well and she wishes to join us. Have you seen Erato? Our strong and independent girls." - She had shared his bed. She enjoyed his touch but she was no fool and knew that what they did was for the clan. She did however want at least a another child to help grow the clan at some point. She would keep that thought out of her head for now. She had a big tesk ahead hopefullyshe could sense and find evevyone-

The Disciple returned her smile with a proud one of his own. She would help bring them home. Wednesday was working on new recruits, but he trusted Anita to find the rest of the clan and bring them back in to regroup. Never again would he allow his clan to grow so unchecked as it had before. Better to keep them closer, keep tabs on them. But of course, he was far too busy to do that himself. This is where his trusted few came in. Further, Anita not only took care of their clan, she had bore him strong daughters. Both the girls had made their home in the tombs easily. They didn't display the rebellious streak the Bennett always had. That's what he got for having children with a clanless girl he knew little of.
"It would be good to see them. I see Erato often in the library. They both seem dedicated." Ashur had taken a more paws-off approach to raising them. He had, perhaps, been overbearing with his first daughter. It's possible that was what drove her to be who she was. Calliope and Erato seemed better. More focused. More loyal, not just to him, but to the clan. Likely because of their mother's drive. He traced his paw over the tomb they were near once more, paying a quiet respect.
"You did well with them. Just as you did Apollo when he was embraced." Rarely did he offer up praise so plainly, but there was no denying it. While he though strong children would further his cause, he was not the most paternal figure. He was too involved in his studies, in the clan as a whole.

- Anita smirks and relaxes - " I do my duty well. I think our children and my chide give me much pride and joy. They all serve the clan well. Erato takes so much after you. She loves to study. Calliope is cirous about burial rituals. Apollo will make a good elder one day. But I did my best. They know stories of what happened to us. Who we need to careful around. But i would hope you call on me again. I would love to bless you with more strong clan defending childrn." -she watches him and relaxes more. Yes there was much to still do but she could think of future and not worry. She more and or less go back ro her studies. How she wished for others around again-

"I know I can count on you for many things." They had known each other centuries. It had been a logical choice to have children with her. Especially as Bennett had teetered on the outskirts of the clan, one foot in the grave and one foot out the door. There were secrets the girl was keeping from him, and he had grown concerned. He had needed blood of his own within the clan to help keep them strong. Ashur had known Anita would provide such children. But now was not the time for her to be thinking of more. They had many other, important things to attend to.
"You're right though. Apollo will be a good elder someday, when he's ready. He's still...nostalgic for his mortality at times. But he will get there. It may take time, but he has an eternity of it, so long as we do our jobs and protect the clan and keep them strong." He offered his arm to Anita to take. It was time they were heading home, after all. "The girls will contribute much as well. They almost make up two halves of a whole. Once buried in pages, the other in the graveyards. It's poetic." His blue eyes met hers as he waited on her to take his arm. "Now, come. Let's return home and begin to prepare for what is to come. It's time we must play the games again and make ourselves known to the clans."

- Anita takes his arm. She smirks at him. Once she was in love with male as misguided as it was that had been centuries ago. Now it was respect for what he stood for. She would always be beside him to guide the new and older clan members. To defend them always. . Mose children could wait there was much to do. - " yes, my lord. I sense someone is close another childe."
