But it had been stripped from him, just as his time with Eiran had also been taken from him. When Troile had attempted to diablerize the Brujah Disciple, he had been forced to flex the full power of Temporis in aid to himself, and had travelled so far forward in time that he had lost it all. Every shred of humanity or emotion he had left. But worse...worse was who he had lost.
The other vampires words should have stirred something within him. Illyes had wanted them to. Yet, he stood there unblinking and unfeeling. He couldn't even gather enough ire to be frustrated.
"That's...quite the compliment." The Disiciple smiled, for whatever it was worth, which was not much anymore.
A few beats of silence followed, in which Illyes thought about what else he could say., and then he spoke again.
"I am sorry, Eiran. For everything that transpired back then."
