There were very few things that held Kaveh's attention for very long. He got bored with routine and often went looking for trouble for the sake of feeling something. Being a vampire could be very boring. At first it had seemed like the best thing in the world, back when he had been young and still had his mother's favor. He had lost that with age. Stopped being cute and thus Gigi had lost interest. Not too uncommon with vampires, and Kaveh had gotten over it long past. But the boredom? Now that wasn't exactly something he was interested in.
Thus, he had made some unsavory friends. Various vampires from various groups, those who had a habit of being far more violent than they should have been for clanless vampires, and a few other faces he knew but hadn't been around. A few even stood out in the small crowd that was crammed in the backroom of a restaurant that was already a shoebox. Kaveh could clearly the smell the various meals being cooked out front for mortals. He doubted any of them knew that the establishment was run by vampires for... various reasons, Kaveh was sure.
But he wasn't in with a good crowd and he stared down at his cards wondering how long he could keep his bluff up. The game was Texas Hold 'Em. Kaveh had already lost a decent amount of money, but what was money to a vampire? It came and went just like everything else that was fleeting. Still there was a decent amount of chips in the pot. Kaveh tapped a few fingers on the modest pile he had before pushing it all to the center. "All in." There was a slight smile on his lips before he pushed it all forward with one paw, waiting for reactions around the table. Was he bluffing? Absolutely? Did he give two shits? Absolutely not. Time to act cool as the blood not running through his veins.
