*Double Featured Rules of the Game PSA - Interlude*
Yeah... I thought there were 2 TV Games with a TV Basement or Living Room Theme, Not 1. It may sound confusing but when you put the pieces together it makes more sense. Thadon stated
*Couch Potatoes - Gameplay*
The Game is played with 3 Players on Each Team, one Red and one Blue. Like Double Dare, they have Team Names. Each Round starts with a Tune In Question. The Team with the correct answer gets $25 and control of the Questions following. However, the other team gets control of the questions if the team who rings in answered wrong.
The 3 Questions were part of a Category that's also worth $25. However, a right answer would lockout the player for the remainder of the round. This way, the players would get need to get a right answer to score all the points where a wrong answer would give the other team a shot to steal the points and control of the questions.
Round 2 had the same Format while Round 3-4 has Double Scoring.
What follows is a Lightning Round called the Couch Up Round where one member of each team competes head to head on each question where the randomizer determines the value ranging from $50 to $200 along with the Couch Up. If a Player lands on Couch Up, a team can Tie the Game with a Correct Answer, each team has two attempts to do meaning that one player vs another player could hit the Couch Up and force a Tiebreaker Question where Sudden Death is settled with a Tiebreaker Question. The Winning Team scores an additional $1,000 and advances to the Bonus Round... Thadon said to the girls.
*Couch Potatoes - Channel Roulette*
The Champion Team then advances to the Channel Roulette Round. An Engame Board is shown with 12 Numbers. Each Number has an image shown, Past or Present. One at a time a player would call out a number and identify the image. Each Image has a score value from $100 to $1,000 and if the team scores $1,000 or more, that total is raised to $5,000. However, there was a Penalty Channel called "Pay TV" as landing on that would cause the team to lose their bonus score and start again until the tiles are exhausted as the team would get what the final bonus score was and added to their total.
One of the most rare moments of that game is the winning team revealing a $1,000 and answering it correctly on the First Tile.
*Conclusion*
Well, that should do it for this Double Feature Long Rules of the Game PSA... See you in the Basement of a School Dorm in Remote Control or the comfort of a Living Room in Couch Potatoes via the Game Lab. Thadon said to the viewers and the girls.
