EARLY CHILDHOOD

Erykah had nothing special about her growing up, she went to school, made tons of friends, and adored her older sister. Her older sister though? Did not like Erykah very much. It wasn’t Erykah’s fault that their parents spent too much time with her, it was just easy with how many extra things Erykah did.

One day, Naomi went away to a special school for magic. Erykah missed her sister, but she enjoyed not tiptoeing around the house, worrying that Naomi might be asleep somewhere. The summer after Naomi came back for the first year, Erykah stole her books and read them all, she wanted to know the amazing things that her sister did.

When Erykah’s letter came around a few years later, she was thrilled, she would get to spend time getting to know more people, getting to learn how to do more things, and maybe she’d finally have the opportunity to make her sister love her.
