No plan survived contact with the enemy, but Rem Nipal couldn’t have planned for this one. Sailing through the air was a pink-haired comet! He slammed to the ground, bending the earth up around himself in terrestrial armor in the shape of a…cannon?!
”Eren?!”
But Eren Kyng was only half of the madness. Charging from the fog of war was a…three-armed man? It was all she could do to maintain her focus on slowing the Guardian; the muscles in her hand strained like she was trying to contain a thrashing beast! But just as the unicorn tried to leap back out of the way of the warrior’s assault, Rem dragged it back, slowing its escape- and giving the warrior a perfect opening for a clean blow!
Ixion fell.
—
Kalen fell.
Before he could hit the ground, a pair of arms caught him under his shoulders. Easing him down was his ma, guiding him to his knees.
”He has it,” Nona answered Lisanna. Beneath the fading fur, Kalen’s skin was still singed and steaming. A Curaja repaired most damage, but healing magic couldn’t do everything. Nona was living testament to that.
”Easy, Kal,” his mother said, squeezing him into a hug. ”It’s done. You did good.”
”Kal!”
Rem charged through the ruins of her home, slide-colliding with her brother and mother in a desperate embrace!

Still hovering in the air Ny readied another light spear to throw at Ixion, though ultimately it wasn't needed. She quickly flew backwards and away from the area at Yuki's order, out of range of the cluster bombs effects. When the smoke cleared Ny found herself blinking in wide-eyed surprise as the motorcycle with the peculiar pink haired man arrived, delivering the penultimate blow to the horse. Yet another strange man I don't know... She thought, intrigued by the new arrival. It was followed shortly by Gilgamesh's brutal finishing move and at last, to her immense relief, the demon horse was done.
It's over! A grateful sigh escaped her lips.
A moment later the enormous fire tornado blazing in the sky drew her gaze as the fight with Koyuki came to its dramatic end. Ny watched, amazed at the sheer power of Riyel's attack. Then came the massive explosion shockwave.
It blew out across the battlefield, the force of it sending the Sorceress rapidly tumbling down to the scorched ground. She landed hard in the debris, a stabbing pain sparking through her side, and the girl lay there winded and dazed whilst the dust settled. When the world stopped spinning she willed herself to get to her feet. Pain lanced through her, and she reached down to peel out a shard of glass from her side with a shaking hand. Fresh blood began spread across her already stained shirt.
"K-Kalen..." She looked over at the scene with Koyuki just in time to see Kalen and Yuki's mother fall to the floor, bloodied and lifeless, a broken shadow of the monster she had been. She was defeated, but the cost was high...
"Oh...oh no..."
This wasn't the outcome anyone wanted. Despite Koyuki's actions, Ny knew that no one here wanted her dead. Her heart ached profoundly for Koyuki, Kalen, Yuki and Riyel. How had things become so twisted and tragic? She saw Riyel pull the woman's body close, cradling her. Tears slipped down Nyale's cheeks, leaving tracks in the ashy dirt on her face from the fighting.
This can't be it...it can't end this way...
She couldn't let her friends lose their mother like this. She wouldn't.
You're a healer, aren't you? So heal.
Pressing a hand to her side she staggered towards the others. The girl registered no surprise at the arrival of her own mother, only thinking of what must be done.
Nyale stopped a few feet away and held out her shaking hands towards the limp form of Koyuki. White light enveloped her body as she reached inwards, pulling on the threads of her magic one last time in her exhausted and injured state, activating her limit break. Unlike the harsh, burning light that she used to blind and attack this was a softer magic, warm and comforting.
"Resurrection..." She whispered, closing her eyes, willing the healing magic to existence, the sorrow she felt for Koyuki and her friends spurring it onwards.
Come back to us, Koyuki...
The white light pulsed around the Sorceress, then peeled and swirled away to land on Koyuki's body, falling over her like a veil, warming her body and spirit and bringing her back from the brink of darkness.
Exhausted and capable of no more, Ny slumped against her mother. She felt her own wounds mending, courtesy of Lisanna's curaja. The snowy haired girl looked over at Kalen, now back in his human form, and gave him a tired smile.
☠☠╰▷╮The dream I once had is no longer the dream I desire. Koyuki ☠ Vicaria "I will forge a path to the future with my blade. No man, woman, or monster will get in my way. For I am the rider of the storm."
Darkness. Emptiness. That was all she felt as the life faded from her eyes, no longer sustained by her willpower or blood. The world faded from her eyes, and even the embrace of her husband could not be felt. She felt herself sinking into the ethereal, her soul drifting away as she shed herself of her mortal coil.
Maybe.....
Maybe now she could rest.
She was tired of thinking, tired of suffering for a world that cared little for her presence. Before, her afterlife was spent with Riyel, but Riyel was alive, so, there was no afterlife to return to. Just an empty darkness; but that was okay with her. She could become nothing in this eternity.
Drifting....
She drifted further...
Sank deeper....
But then a light shimmered in the darkness, like a warm gentle hand reaching out and clutching onto her own.
It was begging for her to live?
Why?
The world did not need her.
Yet, it screamed at her, the energy forcefully yanking her as if demanding that she come back to life whether she wanted to or not.
But it was more than that, it was a plead, to not let misery befall those who were still alive. To not let this be her end.
Who was this?
Her hand clutched onto the other's, sensing their desperation, and the pull. It felt like rushing waves brushing past her skin as she felt the pull going faster and faster. Like a rushing torrent, Koyuki's eyes were blinded by a flashing light as she felt herself being thrown through the light, the sensation similar to surfacing from the ocean depths as she gasped out for air.
Nyale, immediately upon resurrecting Koyuki, found her wrist being immediately snap gripped onto by the formerly deceased woman, her grip locking around her like a vice despite having been beaten literally to death. Her chest rose with a gasp, and her eyes flared open as she looked around at everyone in a daze.
Throughout the entire thing, Yukiko had beeen watching from a distance, the scene far too distressing for her to get close. She couldn't see her mother like that, dead and bloody in such a manner. Her heart sank deeply, and she would have fallen completely into despair if not for Nyale. Witnessing her perform such a miracle that not many could perform left Yukiko completely mesmerized by her power, and at the same time, she hoped one day, Nyale understood how truly grateful she was to her, and above all else, she earned her love today, and undying loyalty.
"Riyel, my love, I will brandish my weapon in your name. For my Children. For my Garden."

RIYEL "The Ringer"VICARIA
There is no pain, you are receding A distant ship smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying

He stood there, the jovial expressions on his face vanishing like the flames that preceded it, his face hidden by the smoke by openly showing the solemness that came from who stood before him. The White haired woman before him, as tiny as he remembered even back in the age of the Rebellion, looked even tinier. The armor slowly flaked off of her piece, by piece, both looking at each other and never breaking away from each other's gaze. The ocean blue looked into the crimson red. Flickering light showed the flames that still lingered surrounding them. The black armor had peeled itself from her more now, the beautiful silver hair finally revealing itself while the Trabian woman slowly brought herself to a stand, as shakily as she could. It was obvious that she was standing on her literal and proverbial last legs. Riyel's face turned downward. It felt like it had been so long ago since he had seen her, and knowing that something had taken her and pushed her to such an extreme did nothing but cause a pain in his heart.
The vibrant, rebellious red eyes he had fallen for showed nothing but a weariness that he knew so well. It was weariness, but a sense of elation and wonder as she gazed at him. No words needed to be said. In this moment, a moment out of time, it was a man and a woman who had been torn away from one another finally able to gaze upon their lover once more. No dark forces drove her, and no sorceress and sorcerer were here to take him away from her. It felt like an eternity, Riyel wishing that it would last forever. His reflection was visible in her crimson eyes, only changing as she reached out to try and touch him. That first step being her seeming last, the large and resolute man moving forward quickly and grasping her before she fell, his eyes downward. No one said a word, the silence being the perfect fallout for the tragedies that had occurred on this day. The only thing visible was a single drop of liquid from the man's face hidden by a foliage of honey gold locks, turning Koyuki's body to her back and cradling her.
Lisanna's words reached him, only allowing him a response to stand as he looked up to the sky holding the body of his Trabian wife. She looked and felt so tiny in his arms, almost like she was sleeping despite the amount of blood that decorated her attire. Still he didn't speak, Lisanna knowing that he heard her and she was right, but he needed a moment as well. All he had to do was look over towards Nona and see her having a handle on Kalen, gently bringing him to his knees as it was obvious that scrawny kid was beyond exhausted. It was probably the first challenging battle he had ever been in, limit breaking like that would only add on to the extremes of human exhaustion. His arms held Koyuki tighter as he came down to a knee, gently caressing the silver hair out of her face before gently touching her the way she had tried to him. "After all this fuss, you leave me?" He muttered, quiet and layered with a powerful sense of heartbreak, "That's not fair..."
Movement made him slowly raise his face, looking upward to see Nyale. Her own white hair was an easy identifier, to which he allowed a small smile at the young lady that came up to him. "You've really grown up, Nyale." His voice was gentle, nostalgia flooding over him at the memories of them saving Nyale and Lisanna from the confines of the manor in the last Sorceress War, "You've come a long way...its good to see. Good to see Kal has someone he can depend on." Nyale worked her magic. The white light caused him to close his own in response, his hands only feeling the oncoming cold of death that was overtaking his wife be pushed away in favor of the familiar warmth that he knew from a long age ago. "Hey now..." His hand rose and caught Koyuki's wrist as she gasped for air, coming back into the realm of the living and seizing whatever was closest, this time being Nyale's own arm.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey..." His words were gentle. One hand gently pulled Koyuki's off of Nyale and replaced it with his own hand, looking down at her with the softest smile he would ever give. A tear still rested in the confines of his eye, falling onto the woman as he gently felt the side of her face and moved her other hand to his own like she had tried to do before fading into the beyond. "You don't get to just go anywhere without me, you know." His smile returned as he looked down at the confused woman. The weight on his chest slowly vanished. "I missed you..."
All Kalen could feel on that plane of existence was the most vibrant emotions. His anger. His hate. His pain. It all fueled him as he sat in this world of feeling. It fueled him, but here, it didn't hurt him. It all shifted through and was being pushed outward into the form that he had been taking, and he was both aware and unaware. There was no understanding of what he was doing on the outside, Kalen only being able to feel and comprehend what was in the now. It was all...and it was nothing. Here, he felt safe once more. Here, he didn't feel anything that could hurt him. All that safety, as comforting as it was, immediately began to shift away as his eyes opened in the real world, the electrical fur and form fading into the nothingness in between worlds.
Slowly, he shrank size and about dropped to his knees, a gasp of air running through him with his return to reality. "Wh..wha..." he was delirious, his body coming crashing with an express amount of wear, soreness, and overall exhaustion. His brain could barely comprehend what was happening as he looked up deliriously at the woman holding him. "Ma..." his voice was a whisper, closing his eyes as he struggled to remember what the hell actually happened. Nona's hug made him groan, laying his head back into her. "Wha...what happened? I just remember...she shocked me and..." What came after that? Kalen could only look around, puzzled as Rem tackled them from another side. "I scared you...?" he bemused, suddenly recalling what else had happened before, "I went to the shelter but they asked for help. Some horde of monsters attacked and I guided them away...and ran into her..." His eyes moved towards the large blonde man and the downed Koyuki... That was.... "Is...is she okay? What took her down?" He would need a full rundown of the situation, looking curiously at the man that was his father.
Slowly, his eyes closed, looking over at Nyale as she smiled wearily towards him. His small grin faded as the weariness overtook him, the world turning misty.
"...sorry..." His mind was wandering and he knew he was rambling, just choosing to rest at this point.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YES, this blade is truly of a PRESTIGIOUS LINEAGE! I shall cherish its abilities always!" The Guardian Force sheathed Odin's blade and looked around. "NOW. Where is my new COMPANION. We must go off! It is time to begin the search anew!" His head swiveled around, trying to find the large golden fellow that he had become acquainted with. "BIG BAD WOLF. You golden dog, you! Where did you go?! We must be o-" His mechanical jaw dropped as the wolf faded into the form of a young boy, comically jumping from spot to spot until he was next to Nona. "What is this?! This boy is so small! He HOLDS THE BEAST WITHIN?!" The confusion on the guardian force was comical, as he leaned in, the young blonde man's eyes fluttering open at the near contact. "BAH! In this state, you are surely too weak to dual me HONORABLY. However! Due to the nature of our agreement, you shall sit with me under my learning tree, little man. With my LEGENDARY tutelage, we will turn you into a warrior to be feared! That wolf within you we shall make a legend in the making! When we dual, you will be beyond ready to give me a test among tests!"
At the last of his words, he punched into the air with three arms, phasing into the distance.
"Let our journey BEGIN!"
