Melany's claws dug slightly into the soft ground beneath her feet. Her lip curled slightly as a low growl escaped her throat. She could smell something. Something was off. Was that blood? Danger was afoot and she was not going to be caught off guard again. Not like last time. She'd be ready. The canyon before her made her options limited. She'd have to plan carefully. There'd be no going over her head. She was ready for whatever came her way. She was the daughter of a shifter after all.

"AND HE WAS COMPLETELY HOT TOO!"

Melany's eyes shut tightly as she took a deep breath. Three. Two. One. Exhale. She spun around to her aunt and narrowed her eyes at her. "What are you TALKING about Liviana?" Oh that mare was...Something alright. There were many many curse words she could use. "We're just going back to the Coalition."

"Through Hot Bunny Man Canyon yes!" Liviana was super excited. Even the mere idea of seeing another hot bunny man was exciting to her. Maybe they lived here? They came out of the walls of course! That must bit it!

"The only good 'bunny' is a dead one. Come on Livi." Melany rolled her eyes as she started to move into the canyon. "And stay close! Spirits forbid if something would to happen to you. I'd have the whole family down my neck!"

Liviana puffed up her cheeks as she walked. "But I'm older!"

"Then act like it."

"You're no fun you know that Melly?"

"Do. Not. Call. Me. That." Melany ground her teeth together. There was only one way to keep her Aunt busy during this. "First pony to speak loses."

Liviana got a serious look to her face. Oh this game. She loved this game. She was good at this game. She was totally going to win!

The silence was like an angel choir to Melany. Finally.

They walked in silence until the exit of the canyon was in sight. Finally. The Coalition wasn't too far now. She could finally relax.

Until she couldn't.

Melany tensed as the silhouette of large male appeared at the exit. Not any type of male. One with large ears. Some sort of...Bunny. Not again. She wouldn't be fooled by a rabbit again! "Livi stay back!"

"I WIN!" FINALLY! Another win under her belt! Wait. "Why would I stay bac- EEEE! See look! Hot Bunny Man Canyon!" Liviana started to bounce on the spot.

"No Livi. Danger. Stay back, I'll protect you." Melany's eyes narrowed. She was ready.

"HELLO HOTTIE!" Liviana was already racing towards the stranger. She didn't know where all these bunny men came from but they were all so HOT and she just HAD to go say hi.

"LIVI NO GET BACK HERE!" Melany's heart dropped as her dumb aunt raced off to the stranger. She was going to get herself killed and it would ne all on her because she didn't keep her dumb aunt safe!

"Hmmm?" Zlatan looked over to the two ladies rushing his way. Being lost wasn't turning out to be such a bad thing after all. "Oh hello there strangers."

"Hi hi hi hi What are you doing in Hot Bunny Man Canyon?" Liviana was giddy and meeting ANOTHER one.

"Is that what this place is called? Huh. Quiet strange. I'm just new in the area and I'm a bit lost. Think you could help a gent out of a pickle?"

"A LIKELY STORY BUT WE'RE NOT FALLING FOR IT!" Melany got in between the stranger and her aunt, baring her sharp teeth. "If you lay a hand on her I sware to the spirits they won't find you in the morning."

"Whao whao whao what is with the hostilities? I've done nothing wrong but stand here being lost. What's wrong with you?" Zlatan was taken a back and a bit offended. He really ment to harm.

"She got chased by by a murder bunny shifter last year and now she doesn't like anything with long floppy ears." Liviana was quick to spill the tea.

"LIVI SHUT IT I'M TRYING TO SAVE YOU!" Melany turned her anger to her aunt. Did she HAVE a death wish?

Ahhhh. Zlatan had the reasonings now. "That's such a shame one who would look like me would do something so horrible. I'm sorry. But hey, look. I'm not a shifter. I even have a little bunny plush on my back." He let of a little chuckle.

Melany looked him over. Hmmm. He didn't SEEM dangerous but neither did that crazy shifter. "I don't trust you."

"Then if you could point me in the right direction then I'll be off. Alright? You'll never hear from me again. That would make your day and my day easy, right? Though maybe I can try to plead my case one more time." Zlatan figured he had a sure way to win the lady over to his...Not murderousness.

Melany scoffed, still not believing him. "Fine. Go on. What's your case?"

"A shifter wouldn't be talking to you right now, wouldn't they?" Zlatan couldn't help but grin.

Melany froze. He...Was right. The last shifter she ran into was quick to attack. The only words that were said were taunting her with her doom. If it wasn't for her dad and grandma...

...

"FINE WHATEVER!" Melany stomped her feet and started to head off toward the Colation. She was done with this.

Liviana grinned. "That was smart."

Zaltan chuckled. "Thank you. Still doesn't help me but I'm glad I could clear my name a bit."

"Hope you find your way! Bye bye!" Liviana hopped off after her niece. Hot Bunny Man Canyon was the best.
